Then when she realizes that Uta was a Precure she feels even worse, because Uta never told her, and because she feels jealous of Uta being extra special. This jealously turns into self-hatred and she is corrupted by the villains and turns into an evil idol. Then in the midseason climax she is saved and becomes the mid-season Cure.

The guy's got some experience writing shonen shows so I refuse to believe that he'd willingly make a villain group as badly developed as them, and looking at how Wonderful had the wolf team appear midway into the show there definitely must have been some outside influences there. I can only hope they took the hint from Battamonda's popularity for Idol so that Chokkiri isn't crippled like HS's and Wonderful's enemy teams were, but I fear we might see the effects of the bug's influence in the 2026 season at the earliest.
