I've caught up to episode 3. Learning about Okinawa is interesting, but god everything outside the Okinawa gimmick is so cliche. Especially the protagonist. He's getting painful to watch. He doesn't have any odious traits that ruin the show but it's like he was designed to be as safe and bland and no-personality as possible. I understand the point of making the fish out of water viewpoint character generic but it's really getting dull spending so much time with an MC who can't carry a scene to save his life. I don't know if I want to continue. I picked this up because the promos made be think this anime will be filled with tan barefoot girls but I haven't been getting enough on that front.
