Wasted character dynamics is what I'd say the biggest sin is in regards to the latter middle half of Part 2.The perspective on Denji and his inaction and solitude after Falling got to a point where it was exhausting, partly due to pacing, and plot beats simultaneously move forward while characters felt they didn't move at all or are forced to obey forces beyond them without much autonomy (a major theme of CSM but something Part 1 balanced a lot better with a richer cast).This moment between Yoshida and Denji is pretty neat but betrays the decisions Fujimoto set with the narrative prior to the point we have to make up bonding memories that don't even make sense in hindsight.
