I don't understand how SEELE had contact with Kaworu at all. Did they create him? How did they manage to secure the 17th Angel before NERV detected it? How did they manage to project their holo-monoliths out into the ruins of Tokyo-3? Why even tell him where Adam is at all? If Tabris succeeded at making contact with Adam then all Lilith-based life would end, including SEELE. And why was he so goddamn stupid when Adam's soul in a Lilin body should've granted him both fruits, and therefore free will and nigh-omnipotence?
