Ive realised with this story time that the issue with kishis panelling is that he tries to give the pacing a very dynamic filmic style which in theory (and at times) is interesting with the sudden jump cuts and scene changes but not really all that appropriate for a comic book. Toriyama understood the comic book medium perfectly and that's why dragon ball has such excellent panelling and pacing. I think kishi should be applauded for attempting what he attempted even if it doesn't always work. I dropped the naruto manga because the action was eventually too difficult to decipher but I'm not blind to what he was going for.
