>call the show 'turkey'
>end with a fucking split

As a moderate bowler who can hit the occasional turkey, this show pissed me off. I didn't mind it being pants on head retarded with the whole shogun time jump shit, but at least do the fucking sport justice.

Makes me sad that Oi! Tonbo won't get another season anytime soon, if at all. That show had a dogshit budget but actually made golf look fun. Nobody's going to hit the lanes for this forgettable trash. And even if they do, they'll be foolish to think spares will suffice over strikes. Fuck this show.

it's time for a bunch of nanase's on this thread to point out the flaws of this show.
>>
>>282509289
Haru chan having the same VA should have made it obvious. Once you are suspicious you look at her and realize they look the same. And it's a time travel anime so everything is possible.
>>
>>282508387
Which studio made this Anime so I avoid everything they do from now on. P.A?
>>
From the start I was comparing it to maebashi witches for the sole reason that they were originals starring five girls, so now I can say Turkey was at least less retarded than that, the drama was more believable and the girls were more likable

It definitely did. Nanase's dad being a sixth time traveller amounted to nothing. Rina's personality shifted very suddenly. Sayuri's dilemma about working at the family bakery was literally never mentioned until the epilogue. The OP suggests that the sisters were supposed to be brought to the future, probably messing up the timeline until they go back (and take Mai's ball with them).

From Shumatsu Train to Apocalypse Hotel how is it?
>>
Fun show, though I think they really set the bar high after the first episode aired and the new PVs prepared everyone for the Sengoku era shenanigans. Everyone on the planet knew it was going to end with "in bowling, there's always a second throw" and Mai hitting the 7-10 split, so that didn't come as much of a surprise, but otherwise, it was a nice finale. Haru being Sumomo too, especially going back to the letter from the first episode where all the speculation sprang up from.

I still think Rina's episode was the highest point of the anime with how well executed it was. All in all, fun show, I just wish it leaned more heavily one way or the other, whether it went absolutely crazy with bowling (Mai using it to stop the soldiers, Sayuri bowling a boulder across the lake to stop a bandit) or all in on the emotional drama with bowling as the backdrop. As it was, it feels split down the middle.

a) with a bowliing ball, you can go anywhere

Anons were predicting this even before she shows up for the first time.
It is a combination of:
(1) Sumomo and Mai talking about Haru and saying she hopes to meet her one day, which is a flag in time travel stories that sais person is themselves.
(2) Anon found out Haru was not Mai's blood related aunt, which leads to speculation of infertility, which connects to Sumomo's period.

Everyone's arc:
Mai: overcomes her PTSD of winning and comea to term with the death of her parents
Nanase: not much character development, just got her time traveler dad back randomly
Sayuri: she was supposed to be ashamed of her lack of courage, somehow it is now about her separating with Mai and inheriting her family business
Nozomi: stops hating the men and comes to term with being a lesbian lolicon
Rina: stops being a bitch and starts talking to her family. Also starts becoming tsundere for Mai.

There should have been some short dialogue about her needing to make a choice for her future, so it didnt feel out of nowhere in the finale, but Sayuri's arc was indeed about growing out of her timidness and excessive innocence; accepting to follow her family's bussiness is just a byproduct of that change for the spectators to see that she's grown up. Also to show off that chikuma has local, traditional bakeries and stuff, remember this came from tourism bux.

Because they were. He didn’t keep his promise and returned later after the turkeys (and Sumomo) had gone.
>why did none of them recover the ball
That’s an actual mystery. They presumably looked for Sumomo at Rina’s bowling lane but didn’t bring the ball back as a memento. At least if the time travel followed its own rules and activated during a storm, the ball could have been shown washed away or buried in a flood.

it was to bait with the prospect of a death, which worked well because when Rina missed her shot and lost her shit, I genuinely wasnt sure if Sayuri and Suguri would make it. Then in retrospective, the bait became a look at how Rina felt in that moment, as if she had killed her then and there with her mistake.

As soon as we saw it was a 7-10 split it was obvious that Mai would do the second throw and knock both pins down as making the 7-10 split completes her arc.

I almost want to call people retarded for not understanding the concept of self-consistent time travel and continuing to talk about multiple timelines, but then again it seems the show writers don't understand it either because nothing fucking makes sense.
It's like they just added that line in the final episode to explain why the butterfly effect didn't result in a completely different future, and totally forgot about the museum.

>>282543724
Closed loop doesn't mean that there's only a single series of events, it just means that the time travel is required to bring about things that have already occurred.

They go into the museum, learn that they didn't save the ancestors, travel back in time, save them, travel back again, drop the ball and bring Haru with them to a prior point in the modern time.

>Kagetoki-sama came back shortly after losing and killing all of them

Who can say, really?
>>
>>282546309
The God of Bowling has plans for the other sisters. Their adventure continues...
>>
They should make an S2 where Mai and friends go back to Sengoku to repair historical damage caused by the success of the onsen, the bowling alley and the advanced drilling technology that Nanase introduced. Maybe Yuzuriha/Chikuma became the most powerful state and the Tokugawa shogunate never happened.
>>
>>282546441
But it doesn't seem to have mattered to present days
Unless the butterfly effect will only take place one year later
Which is possible given the inherit unpredictable nature of a chaos system
>>
>>282546796
Time in the past moves at the same rate as the present. Nanase said it would take a long time for the onsen and other projects to have any effect. Since they just saved the sisters there wouldn't be any immediately noticeable changes. So maybe in about five years or so the time damage will start showing up and the lightning and spinning thing will return for Mai and the others. This story ended too abruptly and needs a conclusion. Should have been 24 episodes.

Why are you retards arguing over whether the characters actions had any impact? It's a singular timeline, with the expectation they would go back in time twice. The results didn't change because nothing would change them. The sisters, except Sumomo, all died after the bowling club left. Whether or not they checked before or after the final, ultimate bowling match, it makes no difference.
>>
>>282548089
Because they made it a big deal to check out the museum and found out they were killed

>>282548294

>>
>>282548341
Bowling balls used to be made of hardwood. The dude that carved 10 bowling pins for Mai in a few hours could probably figure out how to make one.
>>
>>282548193
The museum never specifically said that five sisters were killed by Kagetoki. There is one thing the museum may have gotten wrong though.
>sumomo has artwork but wasn’t present at the slaughter
>akebi was present at the slaughter but has no artwork
Having no artwork could suggest Akebi died very young, before she could be painted. The museum likely assumed that Akebi’s remains belonged to Sumomo.

Haru existed in the bad timeline where they were killed.
The only way a closed loop works is if the museum was for some reason a lie all along. Which they don't imply in the slightest but it's the only way it works (without assuming that the other sisters were killed after all and the girls never bothered to go back to the museum and check and see that it didn't change, or unless haru goes to a different timeline and then also is also shielded from timeline changes)
desu the last makes the most sense it's all magic orchestrated by the concept of bowling anyway
>>
>>282557056
Also because, unlike the other two options which aren't hinted at, the time travel is at least shown multiple times to be beyond arbitrary as fuck
>her dad asks her at the end what the date is, implying he just got back, even though he arrived long before them, and left before they did
>haru going back like what 10, 15 years before they do also makes no sense

>>
>>282547136

>>
>>282559740

Correct, nothing changed because the future girls saving the Sengoku girls was what already happened in history. They literally say it was a predetermined event. Kagetoki coming back to kill them again is simply an incorrect interpretation.

That has more implication for the last scenario. Haru's existence doesn't imply anything about the museum directly, while Haru at least has direct interaction with the time travel.
It's a large leap in logic to assume that the information presented in the museum is meant to be a whole cloth, completely false fabrication of the events and history of the town up to the 1900s. Something as silly as that, while possible I guess, would reasonably warrant even a bit of a hint of how/why that happened or a better implication of it happening.
