>>282508387The Haru twist was kino, even though people predicted it
>>282508387Solid AOTS.
Nozomi and Kousaka fucked like rabbits
If the point wasn't to antagonize the audience and I was wrong to expect a horrific bloody bad end then I don't get the point of the bait-and switch in the first place
>>282508969She wishes. He doesn't want anything to do with that bitch.
>>282508969No, Nozomi became a pedophile after her time travel adventure
>>282509022Weird this exact same thing happened in another original this season, Onmyo Kaiten.

>>282508387Nozomi best girl.
>>282509000>>282509022They 100% did it before breaking up
>>282509022>about to ask if they can get back together again>looks at picture of Anzu>changes her mindYou might have a point
>>282509046>THIS ONE DOES NOT SLIP
>>282508997I didn't want a bad end but it was weird that the finale was so tame. Sayuri and Suguri already killed a guy in the middle of the series.
>>282508387>call the show 'turkey'>end with a fucking splitAs a moderate bowler who can hit the occasional turkey, this show pissed me off. I didn't mind it being pants on head retarded with the whole shogun time jump shit, but at least do the fucking sport justice.Makes me sad that Oi! Tonbo won't get another season anytime soon, if at all. That show had a dogshit budget but actually made golf look fun. Nobody's going to hit the lanes for this forgettable trash. And even if they do, they'll be foolish to think spares will suffice over strikes. Fuck this show.
>>282508387It was fun, I liked it.
if haru chan is sumomo then how was she alive if they all got executed in the same timeline
>>282509207the museum wasn't telling the truth
>>282509222Then they weren't executed? And there was no point in going back to save them?
>>282509247anon they were living hundreds of years ago they were going to fucking die anyway no matter what, them going back was retarded, yes
>>282509207They didn't get executed though, the gang saved them
>>282508704I saw the first two episodes a month ago then binged 3-11 yesterday so I missed out on that. Still crazy to hear about. How/why were people thinking that?
it's time for a bunch of nanase's on this thread to point out the flaws of this show.
>>282509289Haru chan having the same VA should have made it obvious. Once you are suspicious you look at her and realize they look the same. And it's a time travel anime so everything is possible.
>>282508387Which studio made this Anime so I avoid everything they do from now on. P.A?
From the start I was comparing it to maebashi witches for the sole reason that they were originals starring five girls, so now I can say Turkey was at least less retarded than that, the drama was more believable and the girls were more likable
I conclude that she would make the perfect wife.
>>282509398Suguri would be a vastly superior wife, Kagetoki should've taken her.
>>282509398She'll look like this.
>>282509430You see, when it comes to a lifetime partner it matters a lot more what they feel like up close than what they look like from afar.Me, I'd cuddle this strong bear until she was a granny.
>>282509373I think MBW was more entertaining minute-to-minute, the dialogue was genuinely hilarious when it wanted to be and even more funny when it wasn't trying to be. They are pretty similar works and as an actual cohesive story, Turkey is much better, sure, but looking forward to each week's retardation with Maebashi might have been my favorite part of summer
>>282509222>>282509274we just don't know for sure, either they were executed at a later date or the museum is wrong. Haru existing before any time travel means it's a loop.the article on Nanase's phone should have mentioned the sisters, to clear up the confusion
>>282509430excellent
SO WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT OF THIS THEN
>>282509517to fake you out teehee
>>282509430More wife to store babies in.
7-10 was a good way to end the conflict, although very easy to predict. The Haru twist was so bullshit that I was laughing the entire time. The entire point of this story was just to give Sumomo the feeling of having a kid lol.
>>282509517I really don't know.
>>282509517alt timeline where Mai got a gutter shortly after
>>282509517They probably had a ton of draft scripts & material with such a lengthy production and that cut made it into the PV. The plot must have looked pretty different at some point
>>282509483idk who the first character is but kinda based
>b-but muh prophecyYou'll get your human sacrifice when you fix this DAMN DOOR!
>>282508387Average. The first half of the finale was quite predictable and the Haru twist unnecessary. The plot was boring and the dialogue wasn't that interesting so I never got invested in any of the girls.
>>282509333Yes.
Who here is watching the next P.A slop? Episode 0 is airing this week
>>282509305Flaw #1 was her. Kinda ugly
>>282509398>pops 20 childrenThis is what Abe wanted.
>>282509483I really liked teh bantz between the bitches.
>>282509605It definitely did. Nanase's dad being a sixth time traveller amounted to nothing. Rina's personality shifted very suddenly. Sayuri's dilemma about working at the family bakery was literally never mentioned until the epilogue. The OP suggests that the sisters were supposed to be brought to the future, probably messing up the timeline until they go back (and take Mai's ball with them).

Tbh, the part where sayuri and whatshername urged Mai-chan to save the other was kind of silly. Mai-chan was not going to consider not saving her friend now was she.
>>282509430Entire family's fucking fat.
>>282510341I know a lot of people liked the show in the end, just teasing. For what it's worth, Ame to Kimi to redeemed tactical nukies this season.
>>282510439They work in a bakery. Someone's got to eat the leftover stock.

From Shumatsu Train to Apocalypse Hotel how is it?
Fun show, though I think they really set the bar high after the first episode aired and the new PVs prepared everyone for the Sengoku era shenanigans. Everyone on the planet knew it was going to end with "in bowling, there's always a second throw" and Mai hitting the 7-10 split, so that didn't come as much of a surprise, but otherwise, it was a nice finale. Haru being Sumomo too, especially going back to the letter from the first episode where all the speculation sprang up from. I still think Rina's episode was the highest point of the anime with how well executed it was. All in all, fun show, I just wish it leaned more heavily one way or the other, whether it went absolutely crazy with bowling (Mai using it to stop the soldiers, Sayuri bowling a boulder across the lake to stop a bandit) or all in on the emotional drama with bowling as the backdrop. As it was, it feels split down the middle.
>>282510829It's Turkey!

>>282510829>From shit to shit, how is it?
>>282508387The note at the end made me cry
>>282509207Like Nanase said, them being whisked to the past and involved in the strings of plot that ultimately saves all of the sisters was a predetermined event, so it always ended up with Sumomo whisked away to the future and becoming Haru.
>>282509430My wagashi wife WILL be plump and content
Nozomi impregnation
Remember how good the plotline about Sayuri struggling to choose between moving to Tokyo with Mai or staying to inherit the family business was?
And then the sisters never saw Sumomo again and wondered the rest of their lives where the fuck she went off to
>>282511856Probably not hard to figure out where she went considering she disappeared alongside the future girls.
It's kind of convenient that Sumomo-chan lost her memories
Turkey packed so many good messages in to it. A real sportman's show, a classic in the makinga) with a bowliing ball, you can go anywhereb) in life, there's always a second throw.c) wherever or whenever you go, your friends & family are still there with youd) yuri is only a phasee) sumomo momomo
>>282512457That is how amnesia works in fiction, yes.
>>282512457It's kind of convenient that Mai managed to hit that miraculous spare. It's kind of convenient that the girls got snatched home out of nowhere. It's kind of convenient that Sumomo arrived earlier in the timeline despite being beamed up during the same event.
Pedomi
Am I retarded? I don't remember anything about her siblings at all
>>282512537Her whole deal was that her parents remarried and she doesn't get along with her step siblings.
>>282512537You don't remember how Sayuri was struggling over taking over the family business and how Rina wasn't getting along with her new siblings?
I thought Rina's deal was that she wanted to fucking die
>>282512605She had abandonment trauma. She couldn't imagine that anyone cared enough about her as a person, not a team member, to not want her to die. She literally spelled that out to Akebi.
>>282512548

>>282509046I felt shame and pity for Rina
>>282510829Apocalypse Hotel is AOTY material, Turkey is dumb fun but not anything of high quality
This scene saved the anime for me
>>282509289>>282510157>>282509324Anons were predicting this even before she shows up for the first time. It is a combination of:(1) Sumomo and Mai talking about Haru and saying she hopes to meet her one day, which is a flag in time travel stories that sais person is themselves.(2) Anon found out Haru was not Mai's blood related aunt, which leads to speculation of infertility, which connects to Sumomo's period.
>>282509517Ars Notoria!
There is only one plot hole in this anime: the museum. And there is one asspull: the JKs and dad went through time travel multiple times without issues, yet Sumomo hit her head and lost her memory with one try.

Also starts becoming tsundere for Mai.

>>282514124Tbf inheriting a business can take a lot of courage and the burden of expectation is a byproduct of that, it came out of nowhere sure but i guess sayuri just makes it not necessarily be about the business and more about her timidness

>>282514446Smarter than Mai.
Biggest unexplained is:what happened to the rest of the sisterswhy museum says they were murderedwhy did none of them recover the ball
If time travel has nothing to do with bowling during thunderstorm, why was Nanase's dad sent back?
>>282514537It was destined so.
>>282514441There should have been some short dialogue about her needing to make a choice for her future, so it didnt feel out of nowhere in the finale, but Sayuri's arc was indeed about growing out of her timidness and excessive innocence; accepting to follow her family's bussiness is just a byproduct of that change for the spectators to see that she's grown up. Also to show off that chikuma has local, traditional bakeries and stuff, remember this came from tourism bux.
>>282508387It was nice. I enjoyed it more than I expected.
>>282514630Sayuri and her shop irl
>>282514751Tie me to a bowling ball and roll me straight to chikuma, I must increase the town's birth rates.
>>282514630It would have fit with Suguri's backstory so well. Sayuri would see a girl who had to take over her family's clan and present herself as a man who is still the same girl on the inside and get the courage to take over the bakery instead of following Mai and delaying her adulthood.

>>282516809A really underrated gem
The alt OP made me excited thinking they would pull a PoV switch and focus on the sengoku sisters. In the end they did fuck all other than getting kidnapped.
>>282516809It was really boring
>>282514868It's not just getting a split after getting a turkey. It's that Mai always misses both pins after the split.
>>282508387I guess the bowling alley was useless without bowling balls so bowling was forgotten and the town still doesn't have a bowling alley

He didn’t keep his promise and returned later after the turkeys (and Sumomo) had gone.>why did none of them recover the ballThat’s an actual mystery. They presumably looked for Sumomo at Rina’s bowling lane but didn’t bring the ball back as a memento. At least if the time travel followed its own rules and activated during a storm, the ball could have been shown washed away or buried in a flood.

Then in retrospective, the bait became a look at how Rina felt in that moment, as if she had killed her then and there with her mistake.
>>282517930Feels like that was a bait to make you think the letter at the beginning was from the sisters, passing down through generations
>>282518878>I genuinely wasnt sure if Sayuri and Suguri would make it.As soon as we saw it was a 7-10 split it was obvious that Mai would do the second throw and knock both pins down as making the 7-10 split completes her arc.

>>282539261Don't blame her.
>>282539303You don't even remember their names.
>>282539771cunny # 3shota # 5
>everyone died but pinkwhat was the fucking point and how do they just go "oh well anyway" after all that?
>>282540702I mean, there was nothing much they could do about it.
>>282540711they didnt seem that shaken up about their efforts being in vain and pointless the second time of failure. just sort of glossed over they did all the effort literally almost dying for the girls when it didnt matter and that has no effect?shit ending.
>>282540732What are you on about?
>>282508387Who is holding the camera?
>>282540702>>282540732People die when they get old.
>>282540702>>282540732How are there so many people who misunderstood the ending? The board can be sorely lacking in intelligence.
>>282540873>closed loop>nothing changedso its implied the past didnt change so they all were killed yes?
>>282540924Past changed to its predetermined position.
What was that big rotating thing that came down from the sky whenever they time slipped? Was it ever explained?
>>282541160It's the bar at the end of the lane that sweeps the leftover pins away
>>282541075>predetermined positionso all the girls that were left died eventually from invasion. so how was I wrong >>282540732?
>>282541614That's not the predetermined position. That's the failure state between time travels.
>>282541623Literally nothing suggests that in the show
>>282541667Nothing suggests that they were killed either, and before you bring up the museum, you might wanna look at what happens after they go into the museum.
>>282541197I thought it was some sengoku shit.Does that mean whole thing is orchestrated by the God of Bowling?
I think they all died of old age or disease
This is the 17 year old seiyuu of Suguri sama. She is a JK.
>>282542447Yes, obviously.
>>282541675Im not following. The petrified ball is in the what second episode, showing this is a closed loop. They still went to the museum and her adopted mom was the same. closed loop. this means all the other girls were brutally killed and everything they did was for nothing.>>282542450we need a OVA going into this because the more I think about it the sadder this ending is.
>>282542470She has an adult daughter.
>>282543724Closed loop doesn't mean that there's only a single series of events, it just means that the time travel is required to bring about things that have already occurred. They go into the museum, learn that they didn't save the ancestors, travel back in time, save them, travel back again, drop the ball and bring Haru with them to a prior point in the modern time.
Have the staff or writers explain the museum yet
>>282543927What, you think they thought it through?
>>282543966They had a few years to polish the script
>>282543982And this is the best they came up with.
Sumomo rigged the museum displays to say that they were slaughtered so that Mai and the others had the incentive to go back in time, thus guaranteeing the correct sequence of events to reach the current time.
>>282543927It's just a plot hole.If you think about it harder than the writers did, you lose the game.
The muesum is already wrong on Sumomo's fate
Wait, did they actual win in a bowling tournament
>>282546174Yes, the photo at the end implies they won at Nationals. So for the ending, it's either:>they were left alone and died, never seeing their sister again>Kagetoki-sama came back shortly after losing and killing all of themWho can say, really?
>>282546309The God of Bowling has plans for the other sisters. Their adventure continues...
They should make an S2 where Mai and friends go back to Sengoku to repair historical damage caused by the success of the onsen, the bowling alley and the advanced drilling technology that Nanase introduced. Maybe Yuzuriha/Chikuma became the most powerful state and the Tokugawa shogunate never happened.
>>282546441But it doesn't seem to have mattered to present daysUnless the butterfly effect will only take place one year laterWhich is possible given the inherit unpredictable nature of a chaos system
>>282546796Time in the past moves at the same rate as the present. Nanase said it would take a long time for the onsen and other projects to have any effect. Since they just saved the sisters there wouldn't be any immediately noticeable changes. So maybe in about five years or so the time damage will start showing up and the lightning and spinning thing will return for Mai and the others. This story ended too abruptly and needs a conclusion. Should have been 24 episodes.
>3g pure gold bowling pinThat is weird.
Nanase rooming with Nozomi is just a reference to their seiyuus being from D4DJ (same characters show up in the first episode as cameo)
>>282540924>so its implied the past didnt changeCorrect>so they all were killedNo, what happened in the past from the closed loop is that they were saved
Hold on. If the time loop is closed and everything that happened already was accounted for, what's up with the museum exhibit saying the girls were massacred? Doesn't that imply that they were killed anyway
>>282543927>>282544377The museum was wrong. Simple as that.
>>282514038Boylover(girl)
>>282547158Did they go back to the museum and check to see if the text changed? I don't remember that part.
>>282546441>>282546796Closed loop. The onsen, bowling alley, etc. are predetermined events that already happened so history wouldn't change.
>>282547207Nah, Nanase just asspulled a line saying their exploit was woven into the timeline from the beginning
>>282547158>>282547169
I remember some anons were debating if close loop is common in TT stories during first few episodes
>>282547243I just want an S2. They can always do some handwaving to write a plausible scenario for back to sengoku part 2.
>>282547158They only went to the museum on their bad world state, maybe the museum exhibit was different both before and after
>>282547696If you want to know the current exhibition, you have to go to Chikuma yourself, ho ho ho
>>282508387Has Chikuma built this outdoor bowling alley yet? Shouldn't be too expensive and might bring in some weeb/otaku tourist dollars.
>>282547843Before this aired, they built one in Shinjuku to promote the animeI think it was around the Godzilla building
>>282527404>Train above anything other than Zatsu TabiDelusional post.
Why are you retards arguing over whether the characters actions had any impact? It's a singular timeline, with the expectation they would go back in time twice. The results didn't change because nothing would change them. The sisters, except Sumomo, all died after the bowling club left. Whether or not they checked before or after the final, ultimate bowling match, it makes no difference.
>>282548089Because they made it a big deal to check out the museum and found out they were killedYou'd think they would check again and make sure they "won"
>>282548089Obviously they died, but IIRC the museum said all 5 sisters were massacred.
>>282548193You're trusting historians to have perfect accuracy. What kind of retarded complaint is that?
>>282538258All of the turkeys just needed hugs, but I wasn’t there to give them…
>>282548231I'm questioning the anime's internal consistency
>>282539595Kagetoki demolished the bowling alley so he could build a stable for his horses or something.
>>282548277That's a moot point
>>282539595>>282548294They didn't have a single bowling ball besides the ones from the future, what are they gonna use? It's useless given the material of the alley lane and the ball compared to any shit they could use.
>>282548341Bowling balls used to be made of hardwood. The dude that carved 10 bowling pins for Mai in a few hours could probably figure out how to make one.
>>282548193The museum never specifically said that five sisters were killed by Kagetoki. There is one thing the museum may have gotten wrong though.>sumomo has artwork but wasn’t present at the slaughter>akebi was present at the slaughter but has no artworkHaving no artwork could suggest Akebi died very young, before she could be painted. The museum likely assumed that Akebi’s remains belonged to Sumomo.
bal :)
>>282547078The bowling bag is the best prize though.
>>282542470It was pretty cool that all the sisters were 60 year old seiyuu legends
>>282550435All the balls!
bal and precious frens
>>282548193>>282548231>>282548955If this was a stable time loop then all the records would have said that five wizards showed up and saved the sisters from being massacred with the power of BOWLING
>>282551808Natsume made sure no such records existed.
I'm going to miss this show
>>282554158Same, and the upcoming season doesn't have anything like it.
>>282555292But next season has a lot of shit.
>>282554158Figuring out stuff every week was fun, even if the end result was incredibly straightforward.
>>282543853Haru existed in the bad timeline where they were killed. The only way a closed loop works is if the museum was for some reason a lie all along. Which they don't imply in the slightest but it's the only way it works (without assuming that the other sisters were killed after all and the girls never bothered to go back to the museum and check and see that it didn't change, or unless haru goes to a different timeline and then also is also shielded from timeline changes)desu the last makes the most sense it's all magic orchestrated by the concept of bowling anyway
>>282557056Also because, unlike the other two options which aren't hinted at, the time travel is at least shown multiple times to be beyond arbitrary as fuck>her dad asks her at the end what the date is, implying he just got back, even though he arrived long before them, and left before they did>haru going back like what 10, 15 years before they do also makes no sense
>>282557056>Which they don't imply in the slightestThe fact that Haru exists
>>282547136this was never stated and is head canon. they literally say nothing changed.
>>282559740>nothing changedCorrect, nothing changed because the future girls saving the Sengoku girls was what already happened in history. They literally say it was a predetermined event. Kagetoki coming back to kill them again is simply an incorrect interpretation.
>>282557233time travel is controlled by bowling skillDad and Sumomo are not as good as Rina and Mai
>>282551509The ball is a precious fren too.
About to spend the night with this cute nerd.
>>282565772Disgusting gremlin.
>>282508387This anime has the biggest dead-on-arrival moment ever. It was already dead even before the reveal.
I can't believe Turkey! died because the club needed five members.
>>282567979Can't be helped, Nanase doesn't count as a human since she is actually a goblin
>>282568073I hate Nanase so much.
Would Turkey has been a hit if the girls are super gay, like the other 2 anime this past season.
They made the museum display real...
>>282570163Proof that we're stuck in the bad timeline where Turkey! exists.
>>282570298but that means D4DJ and Haya-coco are real in our world?!
>>282548231With the amount of anons that are getting confused because of the museum and anons taking it to be 100% accurate, I wonder if they all think that Akebi is invisible since the museum had no picture of her.
>>282570163I hope they never take it down and after a few generations people started thinking it was actually real history
>>282570163Why can't they draw more in that style?
>>282570163I can't believe bowling was invented in Japan
>>282558862That has more implication for the last scenario. Haru's existence doesn't imply anything about the museum directly, while Haru at least has direct interaction with the time travel. It's a large leap in logic to assume that the information presented in the museum is meant to be a whole cloth, completely false fabrication of the events and history of the town up to the 1900s. Something as silly as that, while possible I guess, would reasonably warrant even a bit of a hint of how/why that happened or a better implication of it happening.
>>282508387I really wanted to like it but it just feels undercooked. Maybe if it had more episodes it would've fared better. Visuals and music were pretty good though
>>282570163Is this accurate to real life?
>>282575545Sumomo probably still gets sent forward in the timeline where they don't come back to save them, but since she disappeared, whoever recorded the events assumed she was executed with her sisters.
>>282575545>the information presented in the museum is meant to be a whole cloth, completely false fabrication of the events and history of the town up to the 1900sThat's not what was implied. Just that it got the fates of the girls wrong.
We can all agree that them no checking the museum again is the very definition of plot hole
>>282578144Nanase looked on her phone instead.
bros why the turkey girls didn't informed the emperor in japan to make nuclear bomb to preemptively bombed the US, Israel, and India.
>>282509207it was priced in
I couldn't get mad at any dumb ass decision the girls made because they were all such realistically dumb teens
>>282565772Is she kissless virgin?
>>282582688Not after I'm done with her
