The main draw is the different activities they do as a club with the food theme tying everything together. It would be boring if they spent half of each episode explaining recipes or just the girls eating and having foodgasms. Each element is timed just right. Mono had the problem of sidelining the supposed main characters and the main gimmick in favor of Afro's annoying self-insert and boring tourism advertisement. It quickly became one of the disappointments of the season.
