Okitsu was a traitor, he had betrayed his dojo brothers in exchange for monetary gain, he was pure scum, it would have been well within Fujiki's rights to stab him in the dick and drop a rock on his head. That should have happened, and instead it was the opposite. Fujiki became fascinated by Okitsu's intense display of emotions and swelled with consideration for his opponent. In my interpretation Fujiki's sense of wonder was triggered by how Okitsu felt such emotions that all his sword skills vanished. Fujiki looked away in the middle of the fight and not even in disrespect, but more like because he couldn't bear to watch. He was skilled enough that he didn't need to watch, and did just that, since it was all too much for him. Thus he easily defeated Okitsu and then... Gave him an honorable warrior's death. Fujiki doesn't do that, nobody in Kogan's dojo does that and Fujiki is the most autistic swordfucker of them all. It's like in this scene the robot accidentally slipped on a banana peel in his programming and was replaced with a human being that theoretically should not exist. He sent off Okitsu with maximum respect (verging on homoerotic of course, blessed author) and I'm just impressed by the idea of the concept for this scene, the sheer contrast between how much Fujiki treated Okitsu with respect and the fact that Okitsu was traitor bitch who deserved negative respect. You can tell in the final page that Fujiki is loudly thinking "I know that I must do this, I just have no idea why".
