Rereading from the beginning, haven’t experienced non-game versions of some early arcs in almost a decade My ranking:>all of east blue - 8/10, good stories, good grounding before more absurd stuff, arlong park dragged but was enjoyable >whisky peak/little garden - 6/10, whatever, forgot about the giants’ first appearance being so far back, also forgot that ms goldenweek apparently doesn’t have any sort of devil fruit or haki? the fuck?>drum/wapol - 10/10, probably the best character writing in the entire series>alabasta - 8/10 for croc and vivi, the straw hats were barely characters here >skypiea - 3/10, and all 3 points go to enel. absolutely horrid pacing, confusing “ok jaya was once this but then this happened but then this happened ok but first let’s go back 400 years ok now let’s go back 800 years but first let’s go back 20 years.” legitimately some of the worst narrative construction I have ever witnessed. heso!>water 7 - 7/10, luv cp9 and usopp’s moment All in all, still a very enjoyable series and fun to see how much it’s changed
