You can sugarcoat it however you want, but this setup was silly after 5 cases, and we're +2002 Gosho plays it as a joke. I mean, since nobody can take it seriously, why not joking about it. Think of Megure's comments.3 is practical: Gosho needs to show Conan's face when he makes the deduction. Why? Because the manga is called Detective Conan.4 more often than not the last piece of the case comes from something the culprit says or has on his body. Some cases, requires the detective to look at the culprit, and you can't do that behind a corner.This said, very good case because the juxtaposition of certain phrases. If it wasn't for the daily, my memories from a previous arc would be years apart and I wouldn't realize Gosho had used this identical setup in the Vermouth arc.

I guess the fake Shuichi is actually the real Bourbon, trying to lure out the real Shuichi, since Gin mentioned he thinks he's still alive and wants to kill him. The BO is a fucking mess of an organization with everyone doing their own thing and not telling the rest about it. My head is spinning.
