I loved part 1. Started reading it when it started, being a fan of Fire Punch having discovered it when it was about midway through.Part 2 started out alright, really liked Nayuta and Asa/Yoru, but it clearly got worse as it went on and it became evident the author lacked focus and didn't really know where to take it, as opposed to the first series. Denji's regressing at every opportunity just made him unlikable as opposed to pitiful.There is no hope or cope. I want it to end and tell anyone interested in the series to stop at the end of part 1.

I think I have come to the conclusion that the blood devil plot point might have been resolved. Power told Denji to find the blood devil because she wanted to give him something to keep going. I think Denji didn't find the blood devil but he found parts of Power in Asa/Yoru.It's probably not a satisfying resolution and not one most will like but Power is gone even if he did find the blood devil it will not be Power. Denji needed to realize that to properly grief her loss. People we love die and they will not return but we can always find parts of them in new people we will meet and can learn to love again. Fujimotos goodbyes aren't a setup for coming back, but a gentle push forward. A way of saying, "don’t stay here for me. Your life is bigger than what we were, you are meant for so much more than just us." There’s a softness to them, a lingering warmth that feels like a promise. But it isn’t one. Across Look Back, Chainsaw Man, and Fire Punch, these moments almost trick you into believing in a future reunion.But it is a twisted, but melancholic way of Fujimoto asking the Character to move on. There's nothing that can salvage P2 as a work so I'm not really that interested in anything that happens.If P3 is announced, cool. But if not, that's also cool. If Fuji had finished up P2 in a better way, I might have been more interested in such an announcement. But right now, if it's more of the same as what P2 was, I can't really say I'd look forward to it.There was a really good chance to bring P2 home in a satisfying way with all the subplots that had been established, but Fuji discarded all of that for "subversion".
