I always thought this arc was really good until Obito reveals his plan. Like seeing Sasuke slip and legit become demented here and trying to kill the Kage, and all of the Danzou stuff, etc. is very good and a genuinely good follow up to Pain and a way to set up Sasuke as the final boss. But then at the end we get Obito revealing he wants to put a giant eye on the moon, more Uchiha and sharingan wank, and surprise surprise, we have like 50 morr villains suddenly between kabuto obito all the zombies zetsus kaguya etc. oh and then Sasukeliterally if we just skipped the war, did something else with Obito, and then had Sasuke be the final villain who killed multiple Kage and Naruto had to go after him after beating Pain and becoming the champion of Konoha...
