I'll be storytiming the manga, one complete case per day. Most cases are around 3-6 chapters long. Feel free to drop in at any time, since it's mostly episodic.Case 221: Like Clockwork Murder Previous case:>>286941741
File 762: Guardian of Time
>>286975393we have seen this same setup a lot recently
File 763: The Phantom of Time
File 764: The Tyrant of Time

Done. There is always only one truth! See you tomorrow!
>>286975822why ran is so dumb
>>286976160what if they said nope
>>286976397thanks op.
>>286975475Imagine living with this crazy lady
>>286975512>People can step outside on the clock handsIs it going to be a Castle of Cagliostro-style murder?
>>286975494oh she's sooo dead
>>286975721Lore check: whose phone is Shinichi holding in his hand? :)
>>286975918>James Black moustacheInnocent, he told Megure the killer's motive>ButlerInnocent, he just lost his job>Pipe dudeWe know he went outside when no one was looking. Normally I'd say he's the red herring but scarf lady lost her brother>Scarf ladyNormally I'd say she gives off culprit vibes, but this time I think she's the red herring
Do you like the live action Conan episodes and movies?
>>286975527>fell from the clock window straight to the wellThat's some bizarre accident
>>286976272Aeugh
>>286975426Good looking hag.Probably dead soon, too.
>>2869759734 years isn't that long to plan a murder in Beika, hun.
>>286976177Megure better not look too closely or he'll find the sleeping darts
>>286976397I love Ai
>>286975475Autistic hag...
>>286975691Is this tuff?
>>286976142The shinigami's murder plans have been foiled.
>>286976272>fishing line
>>286976397I love Ai too.
>>286984408No, it's not a light, porous rock formed by consolidation of volcanic ash, it's just Conan.
I've been thinking for a while, but who's got a more frightening look - Gin or Yukiko when you call her obasan?
>>286975873>Everyone thinks she's cold>Probably thinks she's bitch too>Still attend her birthday every fucking year
>>286986190It's a common thing with the rich, they don't really attend cause of the evil lady, but to mingle with other rich people. Saying no would risk their position in that society, and potentially rob them of some good business connections, especially if the lady would treat it as insult and work against them as revenge.
>>286976348>Attend her birthday party every year>Just to make sure one of her party is rainy day, so he get a chance to kill herThis guy sure has patience, sasuga beika citizen
>>286976397Thanks OPI'm glad it's not another kanji case>But fishing line
Oh no, Gin's Porsche is on page 10!
>>286987637ah le le~
>>286975475Imagine the sex timing.
>>286975463I don't know if I've said it before but it's funny how innocuous things like this become HIGHLY suspicious just because it's brought to your attention
>>286988460That's probably what caused her husband's death.
>>286975933Wait, suspects can deny getting frisked by the cops?
>>286976272Very fast and fat female Hanzawa running at hihg speed!
>>286988551I think so, unless they were caught in the act and under arrest, or there is warrant for searching everything, it would be violation of their rights to forcibly search them.
>>286975407>>286975426In a better world, "disrespect of time" would have meant she was connected to the BO and took the same stuff Vermouth did, progressing the plot.
>>286989264Whatever Vermouth's thing is, it's so rare even her fellow BO operatives don't know, so another of the kind would have been too much of a stretch. And she wouldn't be celebrating birthdays, since that would put her at risk from someone who can count. But funny you should mention plot, since it's on the doorstep.
Free aptx 4869 samples on page 10!
>>286976397Thank you for posting.
>>286978716I'm curious about anon's opinion on that too since I haven't watched any.
What if Genta is a de-aged BO boss?
>>286995133Dude, spoilers!
>>286976348Damn wife!
>>286976252Wouldn't the ring fall off before that? It's pretty big, I can't imagine the ring only falls when the hand is completely vertical.
>>286976348Oh, so no obligatory "you don't have any evidence!!" this time?
>>286976397Thanks OPFunny how >>286988522 immediatly spotted the murder weapon.
>>286989467It would be cool to see someone tied to the BO that isn't actually a member. I want to see a BO customer. We barely know what it actually is they do besides their research, I'd like to see a "customer" of the BO.
Where the FUCK is OP
Case 222: Ramen So Good Murder File 765: Ramen To Die For
>>287000255last case before Conan turns to shit
File 766: Ramen and Poison
>>287000444well i guess mustache man killed the guy
File 767: The Secret Behind the Glasses
Done. Man, Cyanide really is extremely convenient for murder mysteries. There is always only one truth! See you tomorrow!
>>287001101>>287001123what the hell is going on with the killer's motivations? every time it gets more stupid
>>287000504I think this one might actually be suicide. The weird thing with his handedness makes me think he had the poison on his right hand or something and poisoned himself to screw over the shop owner.
>>287000290he's a picky one
>>287001101What a great neighbor.>I didn't want to tell you that everyone wants you to fix your shit or fuck off because I like your ramen too much, so I'll ruin your ramen business with a murder instead.
>>287000514well, it seems the culprit is clear here.
>>287000807... he's planeshifting?
I've only read the last 10 or so cases since I picked this up now that One Piece's daily is over, and I swear half of those 10 have been cyanide poisonng.Has it also been that common in the past cases?
>>287001132thanks op. not a drop dead good case but decent enough. like a bowl of ramen you could say.
>>287003128not really. fishing lines are your usual culprit. maybe gosho just tried to come up with something new and fell for his habit to overuse his tricks.
>>287000361CUriously enough, paired with Gosho switching in part with digital art. Check this cover compared to old ones. Not saying there'sconnection, it's just curious. Not sure you're right tho, for me we're into uncharted Conan territory now. Not really a fan of the shading, but I can understand its necessity.
>>287000361People have been saying this for a lot of cases by now, I'm not inclined to believe you.
>>287000504wow kogoro can actually be pretty cool sometimes
>>286975635Soooo... No pay for Kogoro?
>>286976038This is starting to sound like Murder in the Orient Express
>>286976397Ohhh, poor Genta, 7 is kinda soon to not have one of your grandmas already
>>286998113Well, that usually happens when the suspect really thinks the cops have no evidence. In this case, Kogoro has literally told them where the murder weapon with the blood and prints should be
>>287000255>>287000272Cute Conans, but now I'm really hungry.
>>287000302Rare case set up for the manga with only Kogoro and Conan, while it's a pretty common anime filler one. I love it.
>>287000882Pretty easy to guess that the barber put cyanide in both the glasses, when he removed them when cutting his hair, as well as in his jacket I think it's the first case where I've cracked most of it in a long time.
>>287003128Yeah, it's mostly a thing of the last hundred chapters, there used to be way more murders with sharp or blunt weapons. Though lately there have also been less murders than usual.
>>287000361How? Is it because of digital?
>>287000514My hero Kogoro removes another scumbag from the streets.
>>287000444Alright, I'll go out for some Ramen later today.
>>287006716Probably side-effect of toning down violence to reach wider audience, even murders aren't that bloody and horrific as early ones.
>>287000272Huh, it feels like I never really saw Ran in ponytail beforeCute
>>287010311Every character kind of has a designated hairstyle, and ponytail is trademark of Kazuha and Eri, for whom it's rare to see their hair being down.
>>287000361Not yet, Sera is pretty okay, we still have a few cases before Amuro the perfect husbando makes an appearance and never leaves spotlight.
I wonder how Gin ended up with white hair? He is neither old or a demon.
>>287013448It's not white, you cretin, it's dyed silver. And he actually goes through a very meticulous hair care routine every day to maintain that glow. So watch your mouth.
>it was said that Agasa's inventions lose him more money than they bring in>Detective Boys keep sponging off of him for food, trips, etc.>Ai has expensive taste and no income of her own>that big ass house looks expensive to maintainHow does that man even survive?
>>287014616Would he die if one cut off his hair?
>>287003999>>287004373>>287007414Because of new character that will make Eisuke look good
>>287014705Nothing and no one can make Eisuke look good.
>>287001132>Cyanide really is extremely convenient for murder mysteries. It's the only poison that can be "identified" by the average joe, so of course they use it.That, and Gosho having actual ethics. For example, have you ever noticed the knots of 99% of the hanging/strangling are intentionally wrong?. The only exception I can recall is one strangling case because of that case's particular evidence. Most of the murder in the series feature intentional redundancies or inefficiencies. Or require tools the average citizen cannot afford. My favorite one is murder knives are always 1 very big, so if some deranged reader gets strange ideas he can't hide them well 2 impractical for stabbing. When the weapon is legit, usually there's something people cannot get like a silencer. Cyanide is the same. Beside the literary trope, there's countless other poisons a criminal could get. I wonder if that started when Gosho started collaborating with Japan's actual police: after all, there's been only a culprit belonging to that organization in the entire series, and it was in the early cases.
>>287014779Suicide cuts are wrong, suffocating cases always have some way out for the victim, all the "timed" murders with ice melting are practical only in theory... it's something I always liked: Gosho always make it plausible but irreplicable.
>>287000766>>287000789Very suspsicious of Takagi mentioning the glasses like that. My guess is the barber replaced the glasses of the victim with poisoned glasses after giving him a haircut, then later swapped them out.
The weird thing about cyanide isn't how the culprits have access to it but the way it's a thousand times more potent in DC. The "poison chain" gets longer and longer too, we have poisoned glasses -> hands -> chopstick ->mouth here, there is no way there is enough amount left to make the victim drop dead in seconds. In the running sushi case they at least made it clear it only worked because the victim ate his sushi with his hands.
>>287014650Probably got one or two good inventions patented early in his days, starting his career and allowing him to continue working on silly passion projects onwards.
>>287014650Remember the house he inherited in one of the early cases? He seems to come from a rich family.
>>287017111Truly, a worse thing to say to a bank employee than that you have a bomb.
>>287015087it's really just a bit of stretching of plausibility to make the trick harder to solve, if it were always direct poisoning of food/drinks, then it would get too boring too fast.
>>287000514Good riddance. Genuinely of the most obnoxious victims so far
>>287015087ultra cyanide
>>287018652Wouldn't surprise me if Ai invented that one, too.
>>287000272this reads like the setup for a naughty doujinshi
>>287000444shit, that looks good, double trips for a good meal
>>287014650Iirc Gosho confirmed his main source of income is Onlyfans.
>>287023140What kind of audience would he attract?
>>287023140his relationship with ai is starting to become really suspicious.
>>287000272This means Cafe Poirot is open for more than 13 hours a day!
>>287000466The amount of times Kogoro takes him on trips, events, murder cases (in Beika they are considered social events) despite always being close to bankrupt, compared to rich-ass Yusaku who probably has GRRM money and never even bothered taking Shinichi to fucking London, of all places...Yusaku may be Shinichi's father, but he'll never see his son smile like this.
>>287000489>Digital artOld DC would never have a meal drawn like that.
>>287023955Iirc Yukiko (in disguise of Conan's "mum") promised Kogoro a substantial amount of money for taking care of him. I wonder if she was stingy or Kogoro just gambled it all away. You're absolutely right either way, Yukiko at least feigns interest in her son, Yusaku literally only tries to embarrass him and be smug about it.
>>287018625>One of the most obnoxious victims so farAnd for once, his shittyness is not the reason he was killed for, kek
Case 223: Jeet Kune Do Murder File 768: Jeet Kune Do

Done. It's that one girl. There is always only one truth! See you tomorrow!
>>287026194ENTER
>>287026194>700 chapter in>new character introduced>survived the introduction Won't stay long, right?
>>287026066>words words wordsugh
>>287026194dont be transphobic Ran
>>287026326Haha, I have good (or bad) news for you She's part of the B-list cast (e.g. Heiji, Kid)
>>287025735Okay, I'm new to this part of the series and this... girl (? I guess it's a girl, since Conan blushed during the first meeting) already pisses me off: outfights Ran, and can read Conan's mind.Note on character design: the eye reminds me of someone, exactly like with Eisuke.Let's see if I'm wrong, for the moment it's 3 Eisukes out of 3
>>287026194what a problematic page.thanks op. awful case btw.
>>287026194Is she just Naoto?who came first?
>>287025784>People don't take their shoes off before jumpingDemonstrably false. Case in point: females wearing heels/wedges :(
>>287026000ROLL CREDITS
>>287025784It's been so long that Conan itself talked about how movies DID that, rather than used to.
>>287025925Take a shot
>>287026000Sounds like Sera is mirroring Heiji a bit too hard.
>>287026132This is a special kind of retarded.New, unknown person comes in with an incorrect deduction and he just goes for "Oh yeah, Jimmy solved it"
>>287025558Actual gorillas fighting in a moving bus
>>287026617Do you know who, or is that just a vibe?
>>287025784Well, duh. I don't even remember a movie where the suicidal take of their shoes. Rookie mistake by the murderer.
>>287025908>Got scammed >Still wastes money every day by renting both a room (expensive) and a chair to the father of the scammerEh...
>>287026194FUCK. I THOUGHT SHE WAS A COP. Now I know if going to hate her
>>287026194Nonstop sex with Sera
I want to FUCK Sera.
>>287026194Eisuke should've worn a skirt too.
bumptective bumpnan
>>287025517
I'm no good with describing styles and such, but I really like the type of tomboy fashion Sera seems to wear (I'm a first-time reader, so I'm purely going by what she wore in this case).
>>287029169What?
>>287026617The eye design is indeed supposed to remind you of someone, but Hondo family doesn't have any more children.
>>287025602>NTRI'm sorry for doubting >>287000361
>>287026000>Thank you, Case Closed.>Case Closed?>Because... um... you closed the case.>Oh yeah.
>>287026132This is insanely careless. If anyone follows Conan, his cover is blown.
>>287026194>Masumi SeraHow embarrassing! Viz left the name of a character who'll continue appearing untranslated!
>>287036284As far as I can tell, only those that appeared in the original 3 season run of english dubbed anime got english names. So there are actually more recurring characters now that don't have english names, than those that do.
>>287026169>Fuck this shit i'm confess instead of lyingVery based of her
JKD? Is this new character on par with the legends like Himuro "THE ICY EMPEROR" Ryo?
>>287035041Talking about movies showing hanged people bleeding from the mouth.Movies used to do that, but there was a time when that wasn't past tense in the manga.
Sera is a shotacon
>>287025735>three suspects>only one did anything suspiciousNew type of red herring?
You know, with the way a lot of you were talking about the character that was to be introduced, I had completely different expectations.
>>287025602so at this point conan still think of "him" as a dude right? why is he blushing?
>>287039534Either Conan is gay and is discovering other men besides Holmes, or it's probably a hint to the reader.
>>287039001It's weird because it's all presented as a "she did it" case rather than figuring out a suspect, but all three actually get drawn by Gosho.
>>287036284I love Ai.
>>287039001Well, it's better than Conan going into hyper autistic mode and knowing that it was totally a murder
>>287029453There's only another character with a similar eye design. Given 1 what happened to that character, 2 Sera's claim to be a detective and 3 the eyes, 1+1+1=3. And 3 means another Eisuke situation.
>>287026000>This case is... CLOSED!>Say that again...
