The Uchiha massacre would've made more sense if it had been the entirety of the the leaf village that just banded together to kill the Uchihas.Several times throuout the story they mention how feared the sharingan was, so it'd make sense that enough people would want them all gone.Itachi could've been someone who fought for the village, either out of loyalty or because he wanted to protect Sasuke.

Something really annoying about this manga is that it really doesn't properly showcase the passage of time whatsoever. Like, how much time has passed the Hidan/Kakuzu fight and the Pain Assault? Or between the Pain Assault and the Kage Summit? It feels like all of these events have an interval of only a few days between one another (or weeks at most), but Naruto has supposedly aged 2 years from the start of Shippuden to the end of the manga.

My autistic headcanon is that Orochimaru and Kabuto managed to fuse Hashirama's cells into Danzo and Edo Madara by giving them Sakon's Kekkei Genkai. Same with how Kidomaru managed to have 6 arms, Orochimaru basically used Sakon's DNA to fuse 2 other random pairs of arms into his body. It was basically a prototype for what Kabuto will later do to himself. This kind of falls apart when you learn Madara already made use of Hashirama's cells before he died, but oh well.
