My autistic headcanon is that Orochimaru and Kabuto managed to fuse Hashirama's cells into Danzo and Edo Madara by giving them Sakon's Kekkei Genkai. Same with how Kidomaru managed to have 6 arms, Orochimaru basically used Sakon's DNA to fuse 2 other random pairs of arms into his body. It was basically a prototype for what Kabuto will later do to himself.This kind of falls apart when you learn Madara already made use of Hashirama's cells before he died, but oh well.

One retarded thing about Izanagi is how underutilized it is despite how its OPness. Like, if it can create a genjutsu that alters reality, why doesn't Danzo use it to remove Sasuke's heart from his chest? Or to make it so that Sasuke would explode if he were to touch him with his susanoo? Or to make himself fully regenerate after every hit he takes, like he's Majin Buu or something? This fight only really makes sense to me (Danzo actually opting for an extreme high diff boss rush with Sasuke and then Madara instead of getting the fuck out of there) if Danzo knows that he can implant Sasuke's mangekyo into the Hashirama cell arm's face and obtain rinnegan... but who the fuck would tell him? Black Zetsu? Not even Kabuto actually knew the specifics of why obtaining rinnegan would work, only the general theory. Maybe he used Hiruzen's scrying orb on old Madara.
