You can really tell Kishi had no idea what to do after Pain. The "war" has 0 build-up. Tobito would have been useless without Kabuto's help, and Kabuto has no reason to even be interested in going to war against the shinobi world. Naruto just speed-running his relationship with Kuruma is horrible development. The transition of Naruto being in Konoha to immediately being on a boat to the island is comical. The "war" itself is laughable when it's just a bunch of "ninja" running out into the open in giant formations. The rest of this series really is garbage.
