I think what happened after THAT chapter was Sandro and Daro taking it out on their readers. their effort in writing and drawing early Omega weren’t rewarded. Instead, it led to worse readership who kept yelling to demand “fight” and “bring Ohma back”.So they decided to not care anymore and just give Ohma back while phoning it in as much as possible. He has the final say in what makes it to the page in terms of story. So if you have a specific vision and you know that your readers don't like it, why are you bending over and allowing them to change the course of your vision? You can't just say that it's somehow less of an issue because of the doubt, because Sandro has always put in enough ambiguity in his writing and worldbuilding to make a lot of awful things TECHNICALLY possible in-universe. The difference is that prior to Ohma's return, we the readers had enough faith in his vision to believe that he would never resort to hiding behind technicalities and abusing these gaps of ambiguity (in other words, just because he could, doesn't mean he should). That ambiguity is just there for readers to go wild with their imagination (like in tons of other works of fiction). But with Ohma's return, it's basically Sandro opening Pandora's Box. It kills stakes in the worst way possible. Not to mention it resulting in another huge problem of completely killing the ending of Asura and ruining the poignancy of Ohma's character being someone who throughout Asura was constantly hounded by the consequences of his actions against his own body that culminated in his death. Besides, we already know at this point from tons of examples after Ohma's revival that Sandro is not beneath cheap tricks just to satisfy readers. As such, his revival is indeed 100% cynical. It was a method of quickly regaining the most retarded of readers who at that point in Omega were too impatient with the slowburn of early Omega's focus on character development of an underdog and instead wanted Dragon Ball Z tier fights with high power levels.
