But we live at a time where people don't tend to do that.The point is: you should not let yourself be deterred if you want to have children by a still minor risk. The highest risk you face is a waste of money for fertility treatments that end up not working. The risk of stillbirth, genetic issues, down's syndrome, etc. is elevated but still minor at an individual level - and as I said before: it's not just random, but depends on individual health as well. People have faced worse risks throughout history.
