I also heard somwhere that people find babies and baby animals cute because of certain markers like big eyes and stuff, But funnily enough the brain region that gets activated by that is related to or also governs things like violence or maybe even hunger, this is why grannies pinch your check or people talk about how they want to "eat" something cute. And maybe it's just that same thing just gone very badly for certain people

I don't hate them and find them very cute most of the time, but when they distort into screeching ugly goblins I have a visceral reaction of wanting to curb stomp them (not in the sense that I would ever hurt one it's just an emotional reaction)
