I like labs and German shorthaired pointers. Anyone else? Currently have a 2 y/o gsp and yellow lab. The gsp is still crazy but getting better, and I never spent a second training the lab, he's just understood what I want and expect since he was a dumb 8 week old. He's the best behaved dog I've ever owned. My last GSP lived until she was 19 and was my best dog ever. This current lab could very well dethrone her though.

I'm always worried about getting water in my dog's ear for baths but then remember some dogs swim underwater, I've been conditioned to think that water in dog ear = infection which can lead to it but usually them shaking their head is enough to get it out and if they have pointed ears they'll get enough airflow to dry the remainder water out right?
