In your experience whats better to stack one type of coin like the kruger or the eagle or a variety of bars like from heraeus and vacambi?
I made the mistake when starting out that i bought whatever was the cheapest at the moment and now my stack even though pretty decent in size is really disorganised so this year i want to only buy one type of coin or bar to not get into any trouble later on
I cant afford a full ounce right now and bars have lower premium than fractionals on smaller amounts of gold so im thinking of picking up exclusively bars from now on

Iqdelet, a fool of the highest degree,
Gambled his money, couldn't break free.
On shitcoins he bet, with a mind full of grime,
Chasing those tokens, wasting his time.

He chanted his mantra, round and around,
Filling his brain with a repetitive sound.
"stacktards, premiums, Silver merchants," he'd endlessly say,
But the market would crash and take all away.

Daft and insufferable, none could endure,
His luck turned sour, the losses were sure.
As the end neared, on his deathbed's tight grasp,
His final words came—what a bitter gasp.

"The stacktards were right," he whispered in vain,
A lesson too late, after all the pain.
Iqdelet's tale is a warning so clear,
Gambling with shitcoins, it will cost you dear.

Are you talking gold or silver? The premiums on gold are generally much less than silver, so the cost benefit of stacking what's appropriate vs what's the cheapest varies between the two. I'd say target a theme and go for that. The cheapest and most liquid 1oz rounds and coins for silver, with the supplementary 10oz or 100oz bar for the core stack. For gold, I tend to stick to US denominated coinage, selling and trading in my cheapies for US backed bullion as needed.

Some silver facts for the new year:
- Silver is in extreme demand for medical, technological, and industrial use
- Silver's price is kept artificially low by certain interest groups messing with fake paper silver to ensure certain industries keep going with affordable silver.
- If every single millionaire on Earth right now bought silver, there wouldn't be enough for each of them to own 50 ounces
- Owning one (1) ounce of silver in hand gives you more than 98% of the people in your city, on average.

>Silver's price is kept artificially low by certain interest groups messing with fake paper silver to ensure certain industries keep going with affordable silver.

I just heard the other day that the Chinese are going direct to the mines in South America and are buying up all the Doré which means it isn't going through the purifying process and therefore isn't going through the markets meaning it doesn't have any effect on the spot price.

The chinks are playing their part in price suppression just so they can secretly buy it all up literally on the cheap.

so it looks like those two cance each outher out then
You pay more and get less metals but you can sell your metals for a higher price where as with bars you only get the metal price but also get more metals
if done some basic calculation and im planning to spend around 7000 euros this year for Gold so if im going with a 1/4 every month i will spend around 850 on premiums where as with bars i spend around 350 so i save around 500 euros which i can spend on more silver or another 5g gold bar
This really makes me want to lock in on the bars for now
The only reason im questioning myself is whats more liquit to sell of in an emergency if i need money quick
A bunch of coisn or a bunch of bars?

Good day fellow bullionaire. For gold, I don't think it matters in the grand scheme of things. Gold will retain it's value in weight. Obviously, don't go for stupid shit like Goldbacks or Disney themed rounds. Depends on where you live, BUT what's most sought after are: AGEs/Buffalos, Kruggerands, Sovereigns, and Maples (9999). Personally, I have both a Pamp bar 1 troz and an AGE in my possession but the AGE just seems sexier desu and easier to trade in, if it comes to that (which it shouldn't, always have diamond hands on your gold stack).
>>
>>59528450
My understanding is (((they're))) not afraid of gold because of the marketcap. They are able to keep gold prices suppressed through the much smaller and more easily manipulated silver market. This is why the silver squeeze was such an appealing prospect. It's much easier to corner the silver market ala 1980s style Hunt Brothers, only as a group, instead of a single entity. It was easy for the (((regulators))) to force only the Hunts to sell by restricting their ability to buy in the 1980s. It would be nearly impossible to restrict the entire population's ability to buy while still keeping costs low for industrial needs. Thus we see them stuck in the gambit of needing to convince the general population that fiat is doing fine, while also restricting national silver outflows to competition(good luck taking delivery on a Comex bar). That's where BTC and crypto came into play. A massive blackhole of liquidity soaking up demand for a fiat alternative during a time of hyperinflation. Had a fraction of that demand gone to silver instead, we would already be knee deep in a dead USD.

>You pay more and get less metals
To be pedantic, you pay more for the same amount of metal.
Bars will always be bars.
Coins - especially those with limited designs - can gain much greater value due to numismatic or aesthetic demand. Protip: look for first issues of upcoming series. These are often missed by collectors and are hardest to find, hence gain value the most rapidly particularly when their mint run ends and the dealers run out of them.
Dunno for liquidity. I've never sold.

I dont like the AGE but in reality its probably the most valuable of the Gold Coins seeing as its a mix of Gold, Silver and Copper where the rest of them are either Gold/Copper or just Gold.

For gold, do what you like really. I would recommend coins but if you like happen to like bars, or even ingots or even grain/shot/dust. Its all gravy really.
Silvers a little different and theres more pitfalls you want to avoid like collectables

S tier: generic rounds and nominated silver coins, krugerrands, philharmoniks, kangaroos, buffalos, best for cost averaging
A tier: "junk" silver you find deals on. such as mercury dimes, swiss francs, other old currency like that. Also great for cost averaging.
B tier: silver bars, these are only good if you can get them under or atleast near spot but otherwise i would steer clear from silver bars
F tier: series, painted/gilded stuff and other nice looking junk like that.

>Name a rich or successful person who buys silver

And their above-board purchases of refined gold through the Shanghai exchange are back in full-force. Maybe it is just a blind attempt to acquire any resources they can get on the cheap. But I think the next world war will be fought with economics. It is already in play with trade restrictions. But currency devaluation is the A-bomb of economic warfare and that has not been deployed yet. How do you prepare for a coming currency war? I would stockpile as much gold as I could get my hands on. At the very least that gives me a fall back if my fiat currency gets hammered. But it might give me a platform to launch the new world reserve and trade currency. And that is the brass (gold) ring. Keep stacking.

Warren buffet bought a huge amount of silver in the 90s and hasn't sold it

George Soros has been known to hold silver as part of his precious metals portfolio. He has previously invested in gold and other commodities, including silver, as part of hedging against inflation and currency fluctuations.

Ray Dalio you know the guy on Forbes richest list who founded one of the largest hedge funds in the world, has publicly spoken about investing in precious metals, including silver, as a hedge against economic uncertainty and currency devaluation.

Bill Gates while not an outspoken buyer of silver specifically has invested in companies that deal with silver, such as those involved in technology and energy, where silver is a key component in products like solar panels.

The hardest thing you can hit people with is the truth.

They weren't minted in large quantities, most people don't know about those. They are quite sought after by the collectors so most sell at a fairly high premium, especially in XF+ condition. Those are truly rares because those coins weren't struck very deep/have a rather flat design, so the details wears out very easily.

Gold is easy to sell, even jewelry (but the premiums suck there, unless you're buying second hand stuff). The advantage of bars is like you said, you can buy more gold today for the same price vs. a coin of the same weight. But they also have disadvantages. For one thing, those essay cards take up extra space, especially if you're buying lots of small ones. The other thing is bars are a little more trouble to verify than coins which have standardized dimensions, physical features, and that you can do a quick ping test on.

So it looks like the best thing do is buy both then
Have the core part of your stack be in bars and one or two ounces in coins
The premium on full ounces of coins is even lower than on bars but i cant afford a whole ounce every month and i dont want to save up for several months to buy one i want to buy something every month to DCA it in which cases bars make more sense for the lower premiums
But at the same time i really like coins
i like the touching them and putting them behind an essay card where they can never be felt is kinda bumming me out a bit
Also the take up a bit to much space compared to the size of the bar so for now i stick with coins then
Im buyign a 1/4 Brittania now and sticking witht the Brittania until the end of the year

He is here precisely because the cracks in the system are becoming more and more obvious. The way to sidestep the train barrelling towards us is to exit the leveraged-ponzi scheme which can be accomplished by buying valuable physical assets that you can hold in your own possession.
Depressions are caused by severe distress caused by the banking system where they pull back their lending efforts and suddenly the economy shrivels up when asset prices decline and new money is not being spent. Banks repair their balance sheets by revaluing gold so it minimizes the debts. Being prepared for the revaluation will be an incredible boon at a time when everyone else is getting crushed.

Florida man here, to anyone with experience, is going to an LCS worth it? I've made a bulk of my purchases online and despite the premiums and waiting for mail, all of my metals do eventually arrive in a shiny beautiful state as advertised. I also appreciate not having to directly interact with some sassy, fat-fingered boomers. I'm not interested in selling or anything, just DCAing silver purchases and a troz gold purchase quarterly. There are a few coin shops near me but only two seem to get decent traffic.

The dollar system is failing and no one trusts it to be a unit of account any longer. American can't pay its debts but the rest of the world expects to take Treasuries every year for payment for our $700BN trade deficit every year?
Why would they bother doing that? They can easily barter a better deal now that America is teetering on collapse. And that very renegotiation will mean we are IMPOVERISHED relative to the rest of the world. We lose purchasing power if that happens. This is why I sell my dollars for silver.

With the advent of the Bush Tax cuts along with deficit spending, our country has turned into a short-sighted cash grab. The country has no forward direction and shows ZERO compunction of benefiting the people who live here. Our infrastructure is old and crumbling and there really isnt a lot of money for an overhaul because the citizenry are broke. And the rich sure as hell don't want to pay. So what we all need to contend with is that the short-sighted nature of the country GUARANTEES it will have a reckoning either with a massive tax bill or bridges literally just falling into the rivers and power stations not being able to keep up. Given this reality, I see no reason to expect that financial markets will end happily. I fully expect a major financial hit to blind-side the public at large and it can only be a broad-stroke loss that hit the masses at large. I think this will come from the dollar or to equities as our pensions and 401ks will need to be robbed out of pure necessity.
This is another reason to sidestep the financial system and own gold and silver because the rich can't tax the masses. They have to STEAL FROM THEM.

I would like to remind everyone that if you understate inflation, you automatically overstate GDP growth, since the GDP deflator is artificially low as well. Which is how we end up at a 27 trillion GDP number for the usa when that number was 11 trillion in 2003. The united states did not get almost 3 times richer, if anything it's poorer now than it was.

And that GDP number includes a significant amount of debt-supported product that will vanish with the debt bubble.

Remember in the play and movie Peter Pan when Tinker Bell, the tiny fairy, drinks poison and is dying. The only way to save her is if the audience truly believes in fairies and claps their hands to prove it.

What we have is a Tinker Bell economy, poisoned with debt, fiat, and MMT. The only way to keep it from collapsing is by convincing everyone that it is real. Hence the massive effort by the government and complicit media to try and convince the public to believe in it.

But this isn't Never Land. While there eventually will be a happy ending, it will be preceded by a really dreadful downfall.

An LCS will always beat any online retailer, even if they offer so-called "free shipping." Nothing is free. I started stacking using SDBullion, which is a good site. But then I discovered my LCS and now pay an average of $20 less per gold coin purchase than online. LCS doesn't have to make up for shipping.
In your case, you have to factor in gas and compare to online prices. My LCS is a couple of blocks away, so that's not an issue for me.

Glad for you, but you are the exception rather than the norm. Most of us have this kind >>59535887 of experiences with LCS. Personally i don't even bother trying to find a good LCS anymore, it's 100% online.

>LCS doesn't have to make up for shipping.
Believe me shipping is a nothingburger compared to all the functioning costs, taxes burden and risks coming with owning a physical store in 2001+24. Especially a gold store if you live in a melaninated enriched zone. Plus most online stores only offer shipping above a certain threshold, so it also incentive the customers to purchase more. And i wouldn't be surprised if big stores have reductions with postal services (who already are stupidly cheap in the US compared to most of the world). They wouldn't do it if they weren't winning in the process.

All i know is if i had the opportunity to open a PM store, i'd go 100% online. The fact i can run the operation all on myself, well protected from the comfyness of my home, with nobody knowing 'bout it, and that i do not have to hire anybody is enough to justify the decision imo.

Does nothing for me. I love that dollars were a unit of silver. Money for all of time was silver. You can tell by the size of a coin it's face value just because we standardized globally on ~0.7ozt being a dollar. Pretty cool.

Even paper money was just a gift certificate for some silver.

Obvious stuff but it recently resonated with me. As someone who likes money, this is money.

I don't think anyone's getting rich fast off metals, but then I don't think any investment is likely to make a person rich fast unless it's some absurdly risky gamble.

Because foreigners may stop selling their exports for Treasuries and then what do we do? $700BN trade deficit will go unpaid and vanish. And that is not just $700BN in fake terms. That is real-world goods that are amplified in terms of consumption (soaks up domestic inflation), jobs (incomes), and taxes (helps domestic revenue and programs etc).
So if something were to happen to our ability to pay we will have a crippling depression or at the very least a MASSIVE reduction in purchasing power for Americans our debts stop being accepted in lieu of payment.
Those are serious problems that I don't have to worry about. History is on my side that the masses have to be impoverished in order to get the economy balanced and that loss for everyone is easily avoided and also a profit opportunity.
If credit collapses so too will the value of BTC.

Trump is the lynchpin of this. The stock market shotup 1000 points as soon as he was announced as president elect. Love him or hate him he's convincing people to keep getting up and going to work.
>yeah things suck right now but they will get better

I have no idea how long people will continue to say this. January 20th is when Trump is supposed to be sworn in. Once he's sworn in I personally wager that there is about half of a year or so before people start shitting themselves if things don't get better quickly enough. Things such as gas prices dropping will be enough for many people to point at and say that Trump is making the economy better. It just depends.
