You gain reputation as a borrower, pool delegate and liquidity provider the more you use the system (as far as I can tell) and a bad reputation (specifically relating to borrowers) can and will negatively impact their ability to borrow XRP and will essentially lock them out of trades unless the pool delegate is willing to take on a huge risk (like a loanshark would with someone who cant pay back a bank loan). Reddit spacing, I know, but it's a lot to read and I would be happy to have a conversation about it with some anons here who know a bit more about it. But that is the jist of it from my perspective.
