But central banks are based if white people run them.
If we lived in a country where the people ruining my life by devaluing my wages and savings to spend on useless government projects are white, I would be happy. :)

The government is shit at spending money on things that benefit society.
Why can't people pool their resources together themselves to spend on charity.
You people seem to act like governments/central banks around the world don't already do these things.
You people make the same arguments communists do.

I ordered a cull Peace Dollar last week and it finally arrived yesterday. It's the first cleaned Silver dollar I own and I have to say I'm disgusted at how ugly and unnaturally shiny it is (my camera doesn't properly capture the unatural sheen and lack of luster). Can you, or someone other, provide me good source if+when gold was forbidden/confiscated in 1933-45 Germany? As far I know is not true because there was almost nothing left anyway after the Versailes dictate, 1929 crisis etc. Only gold coin I saw was an very limited early 1930 or so Danzig coin that did not come into circulation (and most of it was melted), now over 4000 EUR worth or more, that was given later to NAZI prominence only. And silver, there where only thse Garnisonkirche, Hindenburg, Goethe or Schiller coins + some meadls maybe. And as war started this silbermoney was obsolete because every silver was need for the warmachine and no ban because poor Germans did not had much/anything. In the contrary the super democratic states like USA, workers paradise UDSSR, U.K. and so on, had, and even multiple times (USA) Gold bans. ... No hurry with your answers as I need to go to sleep now. Await your answer, but no wikipedia if possible as I could not find any deeper source there just the usual bla, bla, "Nazis banned gold". And yes, Socialist regimes like to take other people money, nothing new, existed in earlier times, like French revolution, some Roman emprors did it too, and some ancient China emperor had Fiat too, everytime ending in massmurder/poverty/bankruptcy/war/rp off the Volk and/or neighbours. Or sell out own nation to companys (like we saw during the C-19 scam. Organs [so called] donation is also such. Abortion [not about free will of the woman but about profit of it for pharma]). Works everytime, I guarantee (because 83% people too lazy/stupid to self think). Yaaaawwwnn... Good night.

Anyone here stack–not "collect"–silver proof sets? I have a lead on some of picrel for $50/ea. Silver value is ≈$57, making them a great deal. Those things are really hard to liquidate in the sets or out of them. Your best bet is to keep them pristine, if you break them out the Silver proofs lose whatever collector's value they had and may as well get mixed into ordinary junk Silver (though I don't think dealers want them being mixed into junk). The nonsilver coins become even more worthless once they're out of the set as well.

that advice isn't good if the intent is to have silver to use
I stacked mine cheap and I intend to use it as the money it is. The value of the silver will be multitudes higher than the numismatic value on quarters minted literally in the millions (numismatic can be simplified to RARITY then CONDITION)

>i wonder if any etymological connection.?
Sure, the Denier is an old french type of silver coins who directly derive from the roman Denarius coins, from whom also emerged the Dinar in Lybia, Algeria, etc.. or the Dirham in Morocco for example.
Even the british Penny is etymologically derived from the Denarius, even tho it went by some weird loops so it doesn't sounds similar. It's much more obvious with the Pound who derive from the roman Pondus.

Depends on if you are trading Fiat or gold for silver.
If Fiat sure, it's never a bad time, if you are swapping gold 80/1 is good but if gold keeps outperforming silver then letting the GSR stretch u towards 90 is a better play.

Not worth it unless you can determine that it's all 100% sterling silver and not plate. Also, scrap silver typically only pays 30-40% by weight of the actual silver content. Most plated silver is brass underneath. Magnets won't stick to that either.

For that to happen it would require a deep change of perceptions in the ruling bodies, and then a deep restructuration of the current laws. For now gold is all the law. So it's 100% PMs demand from central banks & institutions, pension funds,..
You'd need to teach them silver is good when they already own most of the gold, why would they bother when they have all they needs? That will never happen, unless a big rogue player try to pull a very unexpected move and it motivate others to do the same.

Dollar has not bottom so price has. No top. No clue how far down the dollar will have fallen when the ratio reach 35/1. If silver is $5000 and gold is 5,000,000 dollerinos silver is still cheap.

>What the argument for holding platinum?
Boomers need it to live, new alloys make high strength steal like like glass, 10X smaller market than gold, 9X smaller market share than it's last top when it was 3X gold. It's "primary use case" has fallen which is car catalytic converters yet the price keeps climbing. Main producers are not friends with the west. It's coined in sovereign bullion.

That's why it will moon and that's a very truncated list.

>Ratio
Yes, most lcs will swap it same as gold or silver. My pays me spot and I eat premium on what I'm swapping in to but it gives me a place to go if I want to move out of either gold or silver but not completely into one the other.
Say silver hits a top and I want to pull out some value and move to gold, but I don't want to leave a bunch in silver since I know it's going to retrace.
So I put my value in gold regardless of GSR, and move my invest into platinum and so long as platinum is below 1.4/1 ratio I can keep my money in play without dealing with Fiat or taxes.

Last part is important. We're I am asset swapping for equal value isn't a taxable event regardless of amount so I can swap 10oz of platinum into 1500 oz of silver and never trigger an event to the IRS.

Fucking absolutely whack that Nazi Germany was freer than England/Australia in the post-war period. Fuck me.

That's about where I am. I'm not regretting it. Funny thing is rumor has it Russia dumped their shelves of platinum to help fund the war and now we are drawing down about 25% of global reserves this year.

I ordered 400 (yes four hundred) dollars face value of merc dimes two months ago and finally received them today. This completes my stack of denominational silver currency. Now I am sitting on a literal throne of silver in my goon cave. Hopefully I have prepared for enough outside of silver to hold onto it once the markets die.

By the way is anyone else vindictive towards people who didn't listen in your lives? I am in a situation where I feel disgusted that people I have tried reaching for half a decade are finally reaching out to me. Like I don't even want to talk to anybody about it anymore.

There's a lot of room for it to go up.
I would just stick to a plan and stack away.
Whether gold or silver is almost irrelevant.
I'm all in on silver and will stack into triple digits.
Once the ratio goes below 70:1 I'll consider shifting to gold.
For now, I'm just sticking to the plan:
Acquire a little bit here and there because it adds up over time.

This is actually something I did. Took out most of my TSP from my dog zogbot days and bought most of my silver using it when silver was only like 20-22 dollars. Now I am way up and the 60k or so that I had to eat came back to me x5 or more. I'm not good at math. I'm a low end bell curve stacker who stacked a lot because it made sense to my street smarts. Bankers ain't hoarding XRP and crypto is mostly a scam. Looking forward to the next black swan event or false flag they throw at us just as the markets start to realize thr USD is fucked. Who knows what wild cards they will use?

Picture is obviously wrong. The Americans made it illegal for citizens to own any gold, even jewelry. They even drained Britain of its gold. At the outbreak of the war the British government ordered all citizens to declare their securities and when Churchill came to power he confiscated all that gold and shipped it to Canada. He then used this money to pay the Americans for the war, and when that ran out he started liquidating physical British assets and even gave America land to cover expenses. Churchill completely hollowed Britain out and Britons continue to live in poverty to this day. Meanwhile the average German worker kept their wealth and worked normal hours even late into the war because Hitler 'didn't want to lose the trust of the German worker'

Gold is played to all but boomers and moonboy for the most part. All it's waiting is on revaluation.
Silver is where investment is fleeing to right now. Plat isn't even on anyone's radar and it's still outperforming gold and silver. War will accelerate things though. Watch how Trump is treating South Africa. He's fucking itching for a reason to invade it.
South Africa also happens to be the largest producer of platinum group metals.

Mate, it's a leap of faith you have to decide whether or not to take. Same as when you make any other big decisions in life, like marrying or getting a woman pregnant. Or what frozen burrito to eat. I'm not that anon but I'm answering. I knew silver would go up a decade ago but waited until just before covid. And still I didn't know how much it would go but now I know it will continue to go up. The ratio is too skewed at like 86 gold to 1 ounce silver. Historical data was changed on the Silver Institute's history page to fudge actual deficit numbers. We are something like 750 tons in deficit annually and it is probably 200% more than that... or more.

Mining yields are something like 15% lower than the median. Mexico may close more mines and they account for most silver mined in the world. They are also starting to hate the US even more even though it's all a show to roll out cbdc. But that's another topic entirely.

Next you have the 380 paper contracts per one ounce of silver and the 95 or so gold paper contracts for one ounce of gold. Then they also have to manipulate the price down nonstop and have even been caught a dozen times. Every Friday they tamp the price down by shorting the market and for a very long time they held it under 30. See Rostin Benham and what he said. They are deceivers.

But once China and India started hoarding it the LBMA WENT TO BLOODY SHIT. Now it is a matter of time, before this shit goes wild. Way more. This isn't financial advice but 50 dollars, even 100 dollars is a fucking steal in my mind.

Thank you very much for those answers/clear out (The one Anonn I asked and wrote the Falschmeldung that Nazis forbid gold for Germans, not reply, yet). So my memory not betrayed me, read about no gold bans in DE in 1930-40s some 20 years ago. I may add that today it is forbidden in Russia to melt gold by citicens, like melt down scrap or an old wostck watch. But you can by gold/coins. The 10 (and other) Rubel Czerwonietz is out in new version sice 2022 in the "Kruegerrand" similar formats. And confusing that UDSSR had this coin also in 1920s and reprint in 1970s despite the bans (Not read yet why, only for export maybe? Who citicens could afford buy such in UDSSR?). ... And still, the "Nazis banned gold in Germany" nartive is still parrot repeated even by professionals like Dr. Markus Krall (In his videos), or books (KOPP Verlag) by authors that should know, but is a detail one have to search for so they missed it. ... "EU Vermögensregister" is also in plans/comming/build up since August. So we can say we do not posses anything valueable or forbidden if asked or have to report. Not in this system. Maybe in later new system, but then for us to invest/live off like we planned and forsee. ... The difference between International Socialism and National Socialism was not if someone get robbed but just who is gonna be robbed. In Multicultural Socialism (now) again all (like UDSSR) are be robbed.
