that's just how bull markets work. the fastest growers just pump relentlessly until something happens that kills the bull, then a laggard sector that just went nothing but down pumps out of nowhere. consider the tech bullrun of the 10's coupled with the oil bear market that reversed sharply in '22. same thing happened in the 90's tech boom that this guy >>61508261 replied to me with. p/e doesn't matter, growth does. i'm not saying you should own tesla, but it will probably pump until the bull market is over, then in the next bear market it will have a major decline. or maybe one day just go flat for years on end while they choose another lever to pump the market with. i blame etf's for this voodoo but it could be anything. but it's a characteristic of markets now and has been for some time. if it scares you, buy the index, but it's not gonna stop because it makes you uncomfortable and it's confusing, that's working as intended.

If TSLA ever price corrected it would wreck markets. Now the government has a serious interest in keeping this from happening. Elon Musk knows this, so he can approach the government directly and make demands, holding the entire market hostage if they don't give him what he wants

I'm the one that ended it because I'm deeply retarded and mentally ill. The only woman that really seemed to care and my nigger brain fucked it up because I simply cannot allow myself to be happy.

But now that she hates me and blocked me on everything I want her so fucking bad. Its been a whole year and I still do. It has to be her I'm not fucking kidding.

He's right but also wrong in that almost none of the people who are trying to live in America are embracing Americanism anymore.
Most naturalized Americans aren't embracing Americanism anymore.

The American dream is dead and it's because no one wanted to uphold it. 99% of people are only here for the money, including native-born Americans, Immigrants, Green-card holders, and politicians. The only question is how long the charade can keep up when almost no one is playing along anymore.

If trump doesn't like what AI is doing then he'd just make the fed raise interest rates, the only reason they're as low as they are is because of the tech sector to begin with, again because being advantaged in tech is a 'national security concern'. He could also hypothetically put an end to the circlejerk of group leverage/financing that some are complaining about, or even allow the cost of oil to rise (currently being squashed as hard as possible)

We all know he's tanking the dollar to save the tech sector on purpose. We also see him jumping up and down and screaming when he only gets a 25 basis point cut instead of the 75 he wanted.

He's not going to push the dominoes over because it's an election year and those AI companies could force their AI Chatbots to turn public opinion against him in an instant.

Yesterday was one of the worst days of the whole year? How? Everything but a handful of overvalued AI stocks is already back to or very close to ATH again. If yesterday really was one of the worst days in the market it's become seriously impossible for europoors like myself to buy a proper dip. The market always stays flat during EU hours, then if it dumps, it dumps when the EU markets are closed and then by the next day when we can finally buy, everything already recovered unless you buy right at market open.

Some people say October bearishness was delayed to November this year, so perhaps the Santa rally may be a month late as well.
There's still so much bearishness and doubt about the AI play, and I get it. It's not enough for the "pick and shovel" companies like NVDA or MU to do well. Someone has to find gold soon, or people will stop digging.

the market jannies on the leaps are unbelievable. i tried to exit yesterday morning when i only had 2 contracts but i couldnt get filled and they manipulated the vega to avoid filling me on the sell side while allowing retial buys to go through at higher prices than what my limit sell order was for. unfucking believable they didnt want to fill me this morning either but they finally did.

yesterday the first trade on that strike/exp happened at 9:38am after the dump had started to occur at $42.50, then like 10 mins later they wouldnt let me exit at $42.42 AT THE SAME FUCKING PRICE ON THE UNDERLYING as it was 10 mins prior. so then i spend the rest of the day averaging down on dips only to make a measly $0.80. Then then literally 60 seconds after I sell my 10 lot for $40.53 the next trade is a 10 lot at $41.50. so the market maker i sold my contracts to scalped a quick $1000 in 60 seconds. fucking bullshit honestly, i should have had the $41.53 price but i get it you gotta leave some juice for the guys filling your orders.

but its those shenanigans that are going to make me avoid this stock in the future. the NVDA market jannies are dare i say... fair, compared to these assholes.

I feel you. I would love to do leaps but the open interest in almost non existent so I generally stick to next quarter and just pray that I dont get murdered by Theta. My holding time for a batch of contracts is usually about a month so the decay rarely has time to take effect before I sell off while aiming for 30-50% on the contact price.
I found recently that RH (i know, dont get me started) has a way to see the open interest on the chain when selecting a strike, so Ive been just looking for the closest ATM with largest open contracts.
Its not great, but its working for me so far.

i have found less success with longer term higher profit plays and have found way more success day trading weeklies and then flipping to the following week on thurs or fri so im not literally playing 0 or 1 dte. and much like what you were saying on the longer time frame, theta acts the same on the shorter time frame where really the theta doesnt really get taken out until the final day, so those first few days you really shouldnt worry too much about theta decay unless your strike truly has no shot and its super far otm. but yea i sell weekly puts and buy weekly calls and puts and wheel and deal them all week. these were my first trades in ASTS and i was trying something different with the leaps.

What would you think about playing vix between 16 and 18?
Im thinking about just rotating out between a 16c and 17p seeing as it just seems to stay in that range most of the time. Looking at my watchlist, it seems like the margins are there around 15-30% per contract and can just be rotated out when one prints, or get a set up one end of the trade starts cheap and just hold both for either occasion.

SpaceX's valuation doubled in a year. It will probably double again after IPO.
xAi's valuation has doubled in less than a year.
Neuralink has almost doubled in 2 years.
The difference between Musk and many of his contemporaries is that he reinvests a vast majority of his wealth into starting new companies. They are also very speculative, high risk, forward-looking businesses. They've all made technological advancements to various degrees. SpaceX is the current leader in rocket launches by a wide margin. Neuralink has proven their man-machine interface is viable, and their current challenge is scaling it. Tesla has solved autonomous vehicles, and this is evident to anyone who actually has FSD - they are not the first to do so, but they are the first to do so with a cost-effective, vision-only system that is available to the public.
Let's also not forget he was principle to the founding of Paypal (which beget Palantir) and OpenAI.
You may think he's undeserving of this fortune for whatever reason. But let's say theoretically you believe there is someone who does. What path should that person take to get to that point? What is the most viable way for a person to become that wealthy?

im just taking 50% of my bag of cash and selling weekly cash secured puts on the best company in the world regardless of VIX level, but i am trying to save 50% of my capital for a VIX 80 event and then i will put that 50% to work at that time.

i dont trade any VIX products directly anymore. when i was a rookie i was long like 50k of VIX monthly long calls when Nancy Pelosi made a surprise flight to Taiwan and anons were tracking her flight to make sure she arrived safely and the VIX literally spiked and peaked the moment she was flying over contested waters. but my dumbass didnt know what i was trading or how to take profit so i watched my ridiculous low probability bet print and then go back red where i took at 50% loss when it could have been a 50% gain.

there is an old anon that treats the vix market makers like his paypig though and i have a bunch of his posts saved to try his strategy at some point, but it involves shorting the futures directly

>but it involves shorting the futures directly
Man that is brave, or stupid.

Ive just been using options as a leverage on something I would already buy. ASTS were my first puts. Ive been long on SLV and GLD for the last 6 months and have done well, but I wanted to try to get a method for a smaller more consistent return and the only thing I found that seems to have a steady floor is COBE VIX so I played with the idea of setting up that position for 16c leaps for spikes and then 17p leaps for a return to median or the few times its drops to around 14.50

Ill have to do some more research and see if there is something I am missing, but seeing as the open interest on the chain is usually in the thousands of contracts, I assume someone is doing it.
I have only been trading "professionally" for about 6 months so I know I have a lot to learn and work on my discipline more, but so far I have done pretty well for starting with $3k and not putting any thing else in.
However, I moved recently and had to let go of a good job. It didnt pay a lot, but I got a lot of freedom in it and now I am unemployed and tryin to get some mechanism of even slight monthly returns to keep up with bills and not eat in to savings.

>>
>>61509477
>Ill have to do some more research and see if there is something I am missing
what you are missing is that the vix market makers are greediest, slimiest, tightest cocksuckers in the world and have priced everything to perfection so that even if it spikes they manipulate the bid/ask to reduce or eliminate your profits. much like my ASTS leaps that should have been much higher, but when you are trying to exit something that has a $4 wide spread you just become their toy to play with. picrel is the option i sold earlier with a $4 spread with my exit price as the midpoint an hour and a half later. thats why its hard to make money on vix products, you always have to sell at the bid which is low and manipulated. but that is just my experience trading VIX and VIXW options, i never have traded any of the various etf products

Yeah, I didn't think about the spread being an issue.
Looking over the few I have on my watch list for the exp 24th It would currently have a 0.24 profit selling at bid with 20 open positions, but the current VIX value is 15.97, which is about 2% lower than nominal.
So there is room, but you are right, the margins would be so slim that one wrong move and pop goes the portfolio.
I guess Ill just stick to longing platinum for now.
