Quite understandably people are bidding known sterling stuff way higher than I want to pay, but I always excelled at spotting misidentified goodies listed too cheap and this one jumped out at me while scrolling down the page. The 8" fork 2nd from the left is a rare 1840s coin silver dinner fork from a NYC silversmith that the seller assumed was silverplate like the other crap it was listed with and they just accepted my $16 offer. Hard to say what it weighs but it'll probably be around 1.5oz, nothing special but I'm very happy to see that slurpable deals are still readily available, it sure beats paying spot+premium these days.
