Got eight 1oz Brits coming today, and a random 1oz mystery coin, that could bee a Roo, Maple, Krug, Eagle, Or Phil etc, I like surpirises.
And another 5 Brits coming on Friday.
It only took me 2.5 hours of refreshing my dealers webpage once every 3 seconds to snag them, before someone else did.
>>
Haven’t posted here in forever, cause admittedly, the shills succeeded in making the place so unpleasant that I no longer wanted to deal with them. But obviously, things have been going well lately. I ordered a 5 Reichsmark coin with the windmill of peace and friendship on it. Partly to increase my stock, and partly because…it’s a cool little collectible. Does anyone else always feel apprehensive adding numismatics to their stack? I have some coin with King George III on it. Admittedly it was free, I inherited it. But if we ever reached a point where it was time to, “cash in” the stack then…people would see it as JUST a silver coin. They wouldn’t appreciate its age or history. It does feel like a bit of a waste to add numismatics to my stack. Also, people saying you can’t shine old coins gets on my nerves. I know, I know.
>muh patina
>muh history
But how are you gonna sit there with a straight face and tell me that the coins look better when they’re dull and tarnished than when they’re shiny and clean.

i am stacking for various reasons. recently i added 'to make globohomo finance institutions seethe' since learning about the canadian, us and uk banking massive short positions. they want to see silver below 50-40$.go try it, I buy more regardless
>>
>>61631581
Well, i have about 30 ounces in numismatics and you can sell those at auctions. Worst comes to worst you get spot or a bit below. Silver buyers will buy for inherent value whilst collectors will pay premium. You may lose a bit to the auction house taking a cut though. There is also always ebay.

Coin collections are sort of a, “luxury good” type deal. In the same way that consumption of, let’s say caviar, will drop off when the economic downturn really ramps up, the market for numismatics will also probably shrink significantly. So admittedly, I can’t imagine getting anything more than spot for them. My own behavior strikes me as impractical. But the RM was a small purchase, and a one off.

These images piss me off more than words can express. Humanity lived in a relatively stable, essentially Golden age for centuries, with a firm basis of sound money as the bedrock for a sustainable and healthy society. Was it perfect? No. But it was ethnically homogenous, united by faith, and sharing in a healthy financial system.

Then as always the bad guys come along light moths drawn to the flame of civilization, so they could debase, hijack and siphon off the very lifeblood of society. And today every one of us is the nth generation born into this living fiat nightmare of excess, degeneracy, and (((their))) unique brand of evil.

Why, oh why, was I born into this accursed time.

>Why, oh why, was I born into this accursed time
I always felt like I was born way ahead of my time. Even growing up in the 80s/90s, I never followed any of the trends that other kids were doing and I always felt more comfortable being around the older folks than I did with my own peers. Needless to say I didn’t have very many friends because of that. Even then, society in general wasn’t totally brain fried or jewed, although there were signs of it happening at a faster pace in the mid-late 90s. Now everything is just fucked beyond repair
>>

My other mining stocks, all purchased last sprint, are up 280% collectively so if bayhorse wants to hop on that bandwagon I'm not gonna be sad.

Buddy, I hate the gay fiat debt bullshit as much as anyone, but realize you've been handed an incredible opportunity. Even if you started today and could only DCA $1000 a month into pm's you'd likely set yourself up for life within a years time. It's not too late to stack, you'll know it's too late when you can't exchange dollars for metals.

Buddy, you got so thoroughly mind raped during covid that you're still posting "schizo" shit half a decade later. I'm not particularly sympathetic to that nonsense, and even during the heights of covid paranoia I was fairly skeptical of the whole "you will own nothing" sperging that went on.
>>
>>61631751
shut up fag. one tesla requires maybe 2 - 3 ounces of silver, it doesn't matter too much for the final price. manufacturing will simply adjust
>>
>>61631581
Provided that you already have a good stack of "spendable/tradable" silver, I don't think that there's anything wrong with buying numismatics, as long as the coin is significant for you and you got it at a good price; adding some variety and historical importance to your collection is always nice, and I don't think that we will get to such a bad situation that you will have to part with every single piece of silver.

As for cleaning old coins, there's a difference between washing them, which when done properly won't damage them, and cleaning them with chemicals or abrasive materials, which will scratch the surface and remove metal, and should always be avoided.
>>
>>61631751

Start with hand washing using dish soap. Don't dry with a towel, let them air dry. Reduces risk of scratching.
Then take a stainless steel bowl, line with aluminum foil, add baking powder, coins, boiling water. Wait until it's cool enough to touch, rub more baking soda on the coins. It'll remove the tarnish but the baking soda isn't abrasive enough to scratch the silver. Depending on how much tarnish you may need to repeat the process.

>>61631795
First of all, you need to remember that once a coin has circulated for a while, the original mint lustre is gone and cannot return no matter how hard you clean it. That being said, if your coin has dirt, tarnish, PVC damage or something else on the surface, then you should be able to remove it non-destructively with warm water and mild soap, acetone or baking soda - I can't give you a lot of tips because I don't have a lot of experience, but you should be able to find some good guides online. Obviously, if you're a newbie, only try this on common coins that are worth just melt - a valuable coin's premium will evaporate if it is improperly cleaned.

Not more valuable per se. Gold is more valuable in relative numbers, but it's more of the commodity while silver is actually the only metal referenced as money.
Talk of the GSR exists as though gold should be monetized and differing relationships between the metals in different geographical locations leading to potential exploitation has had me reconcile something I knew from my bible studies but hadn't really thought about. The bible has no GSR. There's no exchange rate given. Gold is gold and silver is money. The literal word for money in the hebrew is silver.
The exchange rate in the bible is something else entirely: the throughpoint of exchange is slaves. 30 weights of silver for a man, 20 weights of silver for a woman. The man is under a service contract for six years expiring in the seventh. For women they don't go out again, especially if they enter into concubinage.
This line of thinking led me to wonder if there isn't some sort of metaphysical relationship between silver's perceived value and the quality of the women (or even the men.) The book of Isaiah in the 2nd and 3rd chapters comments on "silver being as dross" and women acting out and even ruling over men.
So no, Biblically speaking there's no GSR. There is a MSR and a WSR.
>If anyone can find one I'd like a chapter and verse please.

What’s more dystopian?

A world where we find ourselves using salvaged ancient currency from a bygone era and arguably a dead civilization?

Or a world where we melt all that shit down to cast a new constellation of coins and currencies as unique as the fragmented, Balkanized, warring new societies fighting off countless barbarian enclaves, themselves.

if all the schizos KEEP winning (and, I mean, look at the chart), the next stop is basically infinity.
The entire short has to unwind, which would point us at roughly $20,000 an ounce troy - in the current M2 situation.
We also know the FED is in trouble, no fucking idea what Trump is playing, the margins are coming home, we're looking at TOTAL USD DEATH as well as forced rate cuts, which means nothing else but extreme money printing back on the menu. So you can add another $10k to that estimate.
You would be fucking retarded to sell for 2 digits. If you want to hedge a little OR have enough to buy an asset you actually want/need (land, machines to produce stuff), but if none of that is on your list or your stack is (yet) too small for such things, just wait it out. If you can afford it, stack. I'm dead serious.
They might come up with some bullshit reason to tamp it a bit, but that'll coincide with MASSIVE supply shortages.

The price of a maidservant is negotiable. In Hosea he gets a "child of whoredom" for only 15 weights.
I'll also note that the price of an actual virgin wife and not a concubine is possibly 50 weights. It might be negotiable, but it's mentioned as the penalty for seducing a virgin who is unbetrothed. (If they are betrothed, it's as bad as adultery. Death penalty.) Note that this price is equal to the price of a manslave and a womanslave so if you get the punishment for seduction of your wife it amounts to selling yourself and your wife into slavery until the seventh year.

Much more comfy starting with a fat stack and speculating on stocks, I fundementally hate stocks anyways so realistically I was never going to go all in on miners like I did with physical metals.

Gold will be tokenized and used as the global digital currency, Physical use of gold as a medium of exchange will be outlawed, or simply made so expensive as to be out of reach for the common man.

Silver will be the tool to start the global financial undoing to usher in tokenized gold.
It will still be crazy valuable, but there isn't enough of it to be used as currency outside of shadow societies.

Besides you dont want your currency to be coveted by industrial processes. That doesn't make any sense.

Don't think they can just pull this again, OR they'll do something like adamantly demanding any sale over $1000 (2ozt) to be reported and your house investigated etc.
I saw some AI slop video on this with another asian guy (like 3-4 slop channels have the same one) painting a picture of how that would look like most likely. Can't find it but they're all the same, no idea why they exist, most likely just panic-bait to drive engagement.
>>
>>61632337
Yeah they’re mouth breathers. The most basic market dynamic is supply and demand. If you overinflated the supply (i.e. 370/1 paper to physical silver ratio) it causes the demand to be satisfied for a time, until they recognize they can’t meet the demand. I finally convinced my relatives to get some, but we’ll see how it goes lol.

silvers volatility will trigger more sell offs if it's a specific percentage instead of a fixed amount. Unless they have a account where you can put more money in so you don't get a margin call.

I bought low on the mining stocks, and they're going to keep climbing because boomers love stocks and will rush to them. If silver and gold become unobtanium then even more liquidity will rush into them.

Of course if silver and gold become unobtanium then all that liquidity is essentially meaningless, but I'm holding mining stocks as a means to have cash fairly readily on hand, not as a long term investment. As I said, I fundamentally hate stocks. This is all just a safety net play for me. If I can stack some more from mining stock gains then its just cherries on top.

Sure you can wage slave your way to a stack, but having some play money for the casinos doesn't hurt if you prio your rocks. We don't know when it crashes.
I personally don't have a depot because I know bank and taxes will jew me so hard that a 2x turns into "slightly broke even", and I don't trust foreign apps I can't sue from here effectively. For me, it's rocks only. But I made that decision and won't be mad at lost opportunity.
This silver gain alone is enough to change my life. I just dream of making something cool out of it.
The problematic ones are the shills who want to drain liquidity from physical by sneering with their crypto shite or stonks. Go do that on the side, we believe in rocks here.

I agree, I try not to mention miners because owning gold and silver is the end goal, and as long as you can exchange paper for metals people can achieve that end goal in an instant. Getting physical metals into someone's hands is the game changer, if all you take away from learning about metals is that you should speculate on stocks and maybe buy some gold and silver down the road then you messed up.

>Don’t know. Never read it. Just the Bible.
>Why would it be Talmudic?
A couple of verses.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Leaning not om my own understanding but allowing scripture to validate scripture.
Romans 7:10, explaining how God's holy law, meant for life, exposed sin and led to spiritual death because people couldn't perfectly keep it, with sin using the commandment to bring about death, making sin itself seem more sinful. Paul describes being "alive without the law" before realizing sin, but then "the commandment came, sin revived, and I died"
Dying to self is what God's design intent is, that we may live in Christ and worship in spirit and truth.
2 Corinthians 5:7
Is how we should, not always do but should walk.
Mark 4:12 is God himself describing our choices of how we perceive things. Using our finite rationalization of the letter of the law without understanding the deeper purpose of it again, referring back to Romans 7:10.
By saying seems slightly talmudic I'm asserting that the prices listed weren't the focus as you rightly point out, but the costs of the sins associated with them. As Christ himself the manifestation of the word of God (like silver psalms 12:6) was to be the propitiation/substitution for the sins, or the cost, and without the connection of scripture validation of scripture it alluded in a talmudic way of another way other than "The Way" which is Jesus Christ the ritteous himself. I know that wasn't your intention at all. However, without the context of the harmonious nature of scriptural totality, it may appear otherwise.

You don't understand how markets allocate resources. Higher prices incentivize higher production. It doesn't happen instantly, but it happens reliably. There might be some short gaps as supply tries to catch up with a demand spike, but the market isn't simply going to shut down due to higher prices. That NEVER happens in a market, absent government interference by force.

Not sure what you're referring to here. Are you talking about a deflationary environment for the dollar or for gold and silver?

If its the former it won't happen, because the final stage of a fiat collapse is that of the psychological association with value/money. The final capitulation is simply an annihilation of that association with money/value. This takes place enmass.

As to the latter, this will happen. The flow of Gold and Silver will constrict and be held tightly both during and after the fiat collapse.

More proof that you don't understand markets. You assume that if silver is not recycled at $50 an ounce, it will not be recycled at $500 an ounce. This is an incorrect assumption. You also speculate that the globe will be choked by import restrictions because China is monkeying around a bit. This is a huge jump when, in fact, the largest silver producer on the planet is right next door to the USA and will likely be happy to step up their production.
>>
>>61632935
>Silver is not recycled
What they mean by "recycled silver" is boomers selling their bars, coins and junk to be remelted/refined back into industrial 1000 oz bars.

Industry can't use any bars, regardless of size, of uncertain provenance. You don't want to ruin a multiton batch of solder alloy (which would then have to be re-refined) by inadvertently dumping one contaminated bar into the batch.

Refiners take the responsibility to ensure the 3x9, 4x9 or 5x9 bars they sell to industry meet or exceed minimum standards.

Recycling silver like from the solder in electronics/plumbing almost never happens. Most silver used by industry is either lost forever, or tied up for a minimum of 20 years like in solar panels.
>>
>>61632973
Did I say production? Or did I say refining?
Did I not front run your recycling argument by saying these facilities don’t pop up overnight?

>>
>>61632973
> the largest silver producer on the planet is right next door to the USA and will likely be happy to step up their production.
Where do you think all Mexico’s ore goes? Mexico doesn’t refine it, China does. Chinas restrictions can severely bottleneck global refining capacity as producers try to move ore elsewhere. You claim proficiency of markets and yet your thought process is so painfully 1st order.

>You assume that if silver is not recycled at $50 an ounce, it will not be recycled at $500 an ounce
At $500/oz, yes, more silver will be recycled, but the high price will have a greater effect on demand destruction. Solar panels will stop using silver at that price point.

Electronics like smartphones can survive $500 silver. So can military applications.
