I re-learned an important lesson today: do big moves piecemeal. I learned that a holding in my IRA (PHYS) is relatively high expense, and that I should be holding something else (IAUM). I sold that large holding as one chunk. I've since missed out on an ~3% gain for that. And if gold goes up more over the weekend (seems likely), I'll miss out on even more. What's extra annoying is that this is not the first time I've done this.Don't do big moves all at once.
