Slaughtering leveraged positions is a valuable service. Think of it like doing controlled burns to prevent bigger wildfires. If you don't cull the levered up retards you end up in 1929 levels of destruction when they all get liq'd all at once. They're not criminals, they're vigilante heroes.

I think crypto is being attacked by The Mafia. Honestly, do not blame them. Guys like Armstrong and Vlad are at the height of hubris to believe they could get away with stealing sports betting from bookies. You see some of that by the lobbying against Coinbase getting prediction markets. They could have just left sports betting alone man. People were having fun just prop betting elections on Polymarket and shit but they wanted the bag. Well this is what you get, Underworld doing Underworld things. On top of that you have Armstrong trying to screw the banks with his stablecoin interest thing. Its like wow lets see if crypto is going to beat the Italian Jews and Jew Jews see how that works out Cotton.

Armstrong needs to promise on the call not to take sports betting and to do what the banks ask him too and Vlad needs to drop sports betting "to comply with the SEC". Then crypto would skyrocket imo

If people wanted yield on their money they could just put it into a Fidelity brokerage account and get short term yield rates with a base position in SPAXX and still have a debit card to use. They don't do this because people are sheep and like they're gay little bank, if they don't trust fidelity enough to chase yield then they sure as shit won't trust some crypto broker.
The cat was out of the bag on sports betting when Penn got big. MGM and the "mob" can cry all they want, but it's not going back to the old ways.

Could it be housing? 8% drop indicates crash looming.
>>
>>61843619
What happened? How much are you down and any specific stock that caused it? It's been pretty bad since November and the market has been getting more erratic since. My portfolio is basically stagnant since then where it dumps and then it slowly climbs back up and then dumps just as I barely get above break even. Makes me think a crash is coming soon and I should unleverage. There are better times to be leveraged, now is definitely not, especially if my suspicions about AI are confirmed. That happens and we've got another recession (2008), depression (1929), or worse coming. At least I'll have an excuse for being unemployed and might not get harassed over it when applying for jobs.

A 5% downturn in shelter costs offsets every single fucking increase since 2021 in everything else

Push it 10% and thats even more

single stocks move on news
markets move on availability of capital and dept

1987 Black Monday crash happened on no news and things have been moving in that direction ever since

if you look at the repo market, fed balance sheet expanding, strange signals in the job market, dxy and the sudden drops in asset prices, it is clear there is some unseen stress in the system. who knows how it will play out but there is a likelihood that a bunch of large players have to sell assets to service debts. and then they will sell everything in unison. on no news.
