>CodeWall’s researchers claim that within two hours of starting their red team raid, they achieved full read and write access to the entire production database and were able to access 46.5 million chat messages about strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and client engagements, all in plaintext, along with 728,000 files containing confidential client data, 57,000 user accounts, and 95 system prompts controlling the AI's behavior. The US Treasury announced last week that they are massively shorting oil futures to suppress the price. Doing that during a supply crisis is extremely dangerous because there may not be enough physical oil to cover their shorts, which would then cause a short squeeze above $250. Buy the fucking dip.

problem with oil is that currently the US and israeli government control all info regarding the war. the media blackout in the middle east is insane and it's near impossible to verify or debunk any claim the administration makes. the administration can make up complete lies, like the navy successfully escorting a tanker, and the market will instantly react because there's no way to verify the info but if it's true you don't want to be the last one out the door. Until asia starts providing irrefutable proof that they're in a massive oil shortage, any pump will get manipulated down.

National interests have entered the futures paper markets and are shorting with overwhelming firepower.

Much as what’s been going on in silver. Except the underlying physical situation is much more critical and won’t last long.

All that they are doing is guaranteeing a squeeze to the upside very soon that drive the price needlessly high. Ridiculously probably.

So let's say the FED is indeed shorting the market (I think I've indeed seen some news last week about something along those lines, but was that even a decent source in the first place), surely there will be, at some point, oil exchanges done at the real price. Let's assume there's a shortage of oil in Asia, you can bet your asses that, maybe even right now, there is physical oil being bought at a price different than the official market price.
tl;dr is there a dark pool or black market or whatever for oil? Other than shadow fleets shenanigans, I mean
>>
>>61966548

Kek. Legal? We have gone beyond legal a long time ago. Let me put it to you this way. The CTFC (Google it) had 20 lawyers supervising commodities exchange violations/racketeering. All but the lead legal were let go. The last one resigned. There is currently ZERO oversight now. Check it yourself. It’s the Wild West. All failsafes are gone.

Financialization of commodities played a role in the GFC from 2008 to 2011. The total firepower available to speculators (or governments) is larger than the total market value of any single commodity.

>>

I don’t think we are disagreeing. But you are not aware of how what a derivative actually is.

Without a 2000 word post. The western banking heavyweights have entered the futures market for oil at the behest of the national security apparatus. The are two sides of the same coin.

And are selling oil short. On paper. To keep it simple they are selling “promises” of oil supply in the “future” cheaper than the market. On paper. But they are “short” of the actual oil they have promised. Now if you are malevolent. And think about it. What if you make promises to sell oil you don’t have. And can’t get (naked). At prices well below the price actual suppliers are offering. Well.

People will buy. And it’s fine. For a month. Then you’re on the hook for all this oil. You promised at price X. And you have to deliver at price 2X. It works. Until it doesn’t. And oil is lifeblood. And failure to deliver then causes a “squeeze” or short cover. Where you then have to buy oil at any price (even with catastrophic losses) to cover.

Unless contracts mean nothing. Unless laws means nothing. Unless the dollar s nothing. You may see where this goes.

Oh it's definitely closed but there is a lot of nonsense saying otherwise amplified..nobody wants fuel prices to go up like this. 2008 was pretty much triggered by $140 oil. Start with a pocket book of gold. Now I’m not asking you to buy gold. But it’s very educational as to what money is. What we are talking about. Just read it and make up your own mind. It will make you a better investor for sure no matter the asset class.

He's actuallmy right, oil was low key the trigger for 2008. But that's a triple digits IQ take not many people know. Really, the subprimes charade could have played for far longer. Ask yourself why it exploded in the first place, really, it was quite clever. But it didn't last because of oil prices affecting everything, which is to say, down the line, people, regular people, now struggling to make ends meet, including paying their mortgage, and it slowly spiraled up to the banks, then quickly became a catastrophe.
Oil WAS the 2008 trigger. With lower oil it might have lasted far more years.

Someone tapped him on the shoulder. Mr President. If you post about sinking mining boats. Then the world will think the strait is now mined. And that means the strait is impassable for month until it’s cleared.

What does he do? Demand the mines be removed (as though they leave a flag where they drop them) or else bad shit! Which is the attitude that created this problem and left him grasping for an exit. He’s his own worst enemy. And the worlds right now.

Iran won’t stop. Many of you cackled like gargoyles at the murder if Khomeni. Because you believed the caricature of him in western propaganda.

He was very mild actually. And the only one holding back nuclear wrapt development on a spiritual justification.

They murdered him in his home. With his family. Trump even said they were surprised he didn’t hide.

The short story is this. It’s always a bad idea to go to war. In a sneaky murderous way. With a people who have a conviction of their cause that runs so deep. They don’t fear death. And know it only makes them stronger because it reveals the savagery to the watching world of the aggressor. These things matter guys.

Would Trump face death with such courage for his people. Without fear?

He would step on the American people for a dollar more. These things matter

I’m Irish. They English did call us white niggers. We have experience with empire. What puzzles me. Is that Americans. A nation founded on anti imperial Republican beliefs. Have become the very antithesis of what they fought to escape from. The evil and liberty killing nature of empire and enslavement. It’s sad.

NTR is the largest supplier of fertiliser in the world

Which, is enormously impacted by the strait being closed.

I have 500 shares as it seems to be in a cup and handle pattern on the 5Y chart.

Nice. Let them pump my bags. I've also heard that they consider silver to be on par with gold as a financial asset.
>>
>>61967004

My bags are gold and silver and copper and miners. I’m doing very well. And I’m not greedy enough or degenerate enough to touch leverage

When you short a stock you don’t buy it. You borrow it. Then you sell it, which drives the price down.

Then you’re on the hook to give the stock back.

>pretty much triggered by $140 oil
those are 140 dollars in 2008 dollars, with the inflation calculator its... about 200 dollars? so in backwards 90 dollars oil its as if it was 63 back then, therefore we are actually far from absolute armaggeddon for the prices themselves, the big deal is if 20% of the global oil is compromised over a long period of time its a matter of pure appreciation by scarcity. how long does it take to get there if we get there? who knows. when is it too late? who knows.

>>
>>61967056
Financial insttutions bought oil futures with leverage, saw it go up, thought "oil price printer go brrr" and bought more, which was ok for a while because consumers still needed physical oil and reluctantly bought it for higher prices... until they didn't, then the speculators got margin called

They announced its on the table. They aren’t doing it now because it’s supposed to be the exit plan.
Right now it’s trump and his (((freinds))) dumping the market because that was part of their deal and they planned for this shitshow to only take two weeks(tm)
When it doesn’t take two weeks and keeps going up then Bessent is going to try to step in socialize the losses.
Right now they are just playing with tweets and coordinated dumps but if it gets bad then they are going to have the taxpayers pay for their losses.
