Rerum Novarum // Intel, Breaking News, and Alerts , [3/10/2026 8:54 PM]
- The International Energy Agency has proposed the largest release of oil reserves in history in order to bring down crude oil prices. The proposal will be decided on Wednesday.

The release would exceed the 182 million barrels released in 2022 during Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. - WSJ

>>
>>61967138

Depends on how deep down the numbers hole you want to go.

It’s a pattern recognition thing at the end of the day. But I have thought about it thus. While silver hasn’t been money for 70 years or so. It has a track record of the money if they people for thousands of years. And while oil is an enery supply a couple hundred years old. Before that was wood. And as old as money is. As old is energy.

It doesn’t surprise me there may be synchronous patterns in such basic things. What does interest me. Is the numbers and ratios are curiously aligning in time also.

But this is speculative and esoteric. Few take notice of such things. And even fewer assign and value to them. But i take note of it, none the less.

buying the inverse QQQ, maybe even the triple inverse QQQ
I think that's SQQQ?
thinking to hold onto this for a week to a month
I feel like the S&P500 will drop over the next month for sure
and QQQ will dump harder
so short QQQ is better than short SPY, epecially since we had so much rotation which was boosting it up while some names were getting killed
and triple short QQQ is even better than short QQQ, assuming you believe the thesis

and adding in some automated buy orders to buy SPY, at maybe -10% from current prices, and -15, -20, -25.

this way I will be both short and long (from DCA buying the dip) and operate like a hedge fund. so theoretically I can't lose money, unless we just recover from here. and in which case, okay fine. I'm totally okay with the stock market recovering long term. that would be great news.

oh, and also buying the inverse oil etf
just a simple way to short that shit
I think that's DRIP, which is 2x inverse but whatever.
I might set a limit order to buy, at a certain price, corresponding to an even higher price of oil. so I'm "buying the dip" essentially on the short etf, meaning I am FAR more likely to make money
the higher the price of oil goes, the more likely it will revert to the mean

but I think we won't get back to 60 any time soon. 70 minimum. maybe 80 for the next year as the new normal.
so I buy the short at 120 if it gets there again, then sell that short etf if it drops back to 90 or something like that.
maybe even do some trims at 110, 100, and then clear everything at 90 and not get greedy

in other words, I really think the price of oil will go down from 120. that was the peak probably

As a long time crypto nerd I don't really understand how you guys get excited about stocks doing 10% moves or whatever. Are you all deep in otm 0dtes or something? I need like +300% gains on a position in a short period of time to feel any dopamine. Crypto was nice because you could buy spot and if the 10x play didn't work out at least you could still sell the shitcoin for something. But to get the same potential payoffs in stocks you have to buy instruments that expire worthless if they don't work out. Just seems like you have to stick your neck out way more to get the same payoffs.

Of course crypto sucks a rancid dick since 2024 which is why I'm here in the first place but still. cost yes, but doesn't running a cheaper model just mean the big boys copy the same thing and do 20x more AI for the same price?

I do think NVDA gets killed short term on that news though, as the ai companies digest far cheaper AI programs
but eventually, don't they just do 20x more AI because it's 20x cheaper? why would they just stop and not use the shit they paid for?

though there is inference and training compute, so some of that is not fungible

this kind of talk is exactly why I'm excited about crypto
people think it's dead because it crashed
and it will likely have an extended bear market for 6 months to a year, don't get me wrong, but I think the buy the dip opportunity is going to be big

they are doing it with stealth fighters and stealth bombers though
so true air superiority, where you can just fly in with non stealth jet and drop a bomb instead of shooting a long range missile is not really here yet

once that is here, we can drop THOUSANDS of JDAMS, for 50,000 bucks each
and just do that all day every day, over and over
but we are a ways away from that

so we go in with F35s, and we use the non stealth shit to shoot standoff munitions. And this is doing a lot of damage. but we can do a lot lot more

problem is that MSTR still has like 3 fucking years of cash to stay afloat and pay dividends, so they can ride out a year at least and still have enough cash on hand to pay expenses

I still think MSTR will fail long term, but the balance sheet is very strong to ride out bad year.
Damn him, that saylor! HE CANT KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT!!!!!
ahem
> everybody looks at surface speculator leverage which was wiped so everybody wants to buy the dip but that's not even close to all the leverage. the flows are out which is THE determinant factor with it's price action. money into tech and crypto over the past years (which private equity has their fingers all over) comes back out
yes I think when QQQ and SPY crash over the next 6 months and all that shit gets flooded out, then bitcoin will crash again
>into fixed income + mortgages + S&P 493
safer assets yeah
but real estate has been dropping so the average person who wants to buy a home wins, but all the real estate companies fucking die. especially if they could hardly make ends meet at super elevated prices. now all that shit comes crashing down, and we see where the real companies remain
as far as S&P493, unfortunately no they will all die together in that 500. same with the mid caps and small caps.
but eventually yes, other stocks which are not mag 7 will take over, and the mag 7 probably die and don't come back.
the 10 biggest stocks of every decade almost never showed up in that list, going to the next decade. Only one or two repeat. almost all get flushed out.
and we get a new top 10. or in this case top 7

>>

hey AI, explain to me why my genius plan to short oil has already been pre-empted by lower oil prices?
Problem is, all this shit WAS ALREADY KNOWN. so how could that lower the price of oil so drastically from 100ish to 84? that's basically already normal.

The rapid $40 drop in oil prices within 24 hours was driven by a shift from "supply panic" to "geopolitical de-escalation" following three key developments:
Trump's "Mission Accomplished" Signals: President Trump told CBS News that the war with Iran was "very complete" and "pretty much" wrapped up. He further claimed that ships were already moving through the Strait of Hormuz, which immediately deflated the "blockade premium".
Coordinated G7 Reserve Release: G7 energy ministers and the International Energy Agency (IEA) convened an emergency meeting to authorize a coordinated release of strategic oil reserves to flood the market and stabilize prices.
US Navy Escorts: To ensure the flow of oil, the U.S. announced it would deploy the Navy to escort tankers through the Strait, significantly reducing the risk of a prolonged total shutdown.

I know they have been using JDAMs, but with stealth planes
we do not yet have the capability to brazenly fly non stealth jets over the capital and drop short range bombs on them.
there are some pockets of localized air superiority mostly in the south where the carriers are launching attacks from

Hormuz is 30% and then the other strikes took away another 10% from Saudi Arabia and Iraq, bringing the total to 40%. They're going to start buying futures contracts so they can reopen their economies.

But it's also the mistake that other anon is making because "just take physical delivery" is effected by the same sorts of logistical limitations.

Adjusting for inflation, gas at 4$ a gallon today would be about 2$ a gallon equivalent. Before the latest stupidity in the litterbox gas at 3.25$ was equivalent to 1.63$ gas in 2005, which would've been on the high end for the time but not completely insane if you were in some big shitty metro area.

Wages aren't keeping up with inflation and that's the only reason shit seems more expensive than it actually is and everything happening in the world is a distraction from that fact because between that and epstein there's more than enough justification for people to chimp out and start voting retards out and creating the conditions that get people put in prison if they're lucky. The really really really funny part is it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Swaps still aren't being reported. That's your canary.

They are cattle, and there's a supercell thunderstorm moving in, and just because they're not stampeding right this second doesn't mean they won't when it gets closer. Wages continuing to remain stagnant with prices high because of inflation is analogous to the herd feeling the temperature and air pressure change and their hair start to stand up. Cattle kill about as many people every year as all predators combined.

Brenner remains undefeated. The media doesn't have to tell you that you can't afford to eat. I'm beyond certain fastfood companies are being incentivized to run specials to subsidize things as a last ditch effort to try and plug the hole. 70's style crisis would instantly fuck everything up. It would be the graphite tips getting stuck. That's why it got shut down as soon as it happened even if yanking the rods out completely means you can't control what happens when the xenon burns off. Only remaining option is to get the pumps going at full capacity to cool things down and pray you can fill the voids in time, but the downside is if it's too late you've just made an even bigger bomb.

Now you go look at the fucking line and tell me what you think happens next.

Friday is the tell. Mediators from multiple countries across EU, ME and Asia are in the backchannels asking Iran for a ceasefire on behalf of Trump.

If there is no official reciprocal announcement by this Friday of the war winding down, I am doubling my USO and BNO bags, and going to costco to stock up on 7 months of canned goods and water.

We have until this Friday to speculate, if we are unlucky, you will have wished a nuke was dropped.

Well there’s one more card to play which is them shorting oil with government money.
Though that’s more of an exit ramp than a new factor.
The way it’s going to go down is the treasury is going to buy all of the (((private sector’s))) stinky short contracts so that (((their))) losses get socialized.
It might dip the market a little at first but people will figure out it’s not actually introducing any _new_ downward pressure, just playing captain save a hoe for existing bad bets.

>Don’t hold SQQQ longer than a day bro. You will regret it and close the position with a loss when everything is said and done.
>Every day pre market decide if you want to short US tech or not.
look at SQQQ and TQQQ during the 2022 bear market
the 3x long was getting killed, while the 3x short was up up up
and it stayed up for a long time, despite the intraday decay
but all short strategies have that decay, same with leverage. there's the interest on the leverage that eats the gains

So I feel good about SQQQ, assuming QQQ dies, which I think it will.
on the long side, I'm buying us stocks. and will slowly sell the shorts as they make money (assuming we keep going down), and buy the dip more and more.
at least that's the theory

but you're right, and I should add the bog standard short S&P500, which is SH I believe. not even triple short, just normal -1x.
diversify my bets and all that. on the short side
and also on the long side

China off from oil. When it's quiete essentially just Jewish elites using their power to have American empire cannibalize itself for Israel's interest. And when I say this to people I sound crazy but im not.

so you're saying that doing the bare minimum to close hormuz is better than going full psycho mode, which would then provoke a bigger attack
but wait a second, they are already getting attacked a lot

hmm. maybe the other countries in the region would finally start attacking iran
you make a good point though

they are doing the bare minimum to accomplish the goal. which makes sense

yep
china doesn't really like all that oil being disrupted
china specifically and asian countries more broadly are very dependent on energy, and specifically they get energy from the middle east
so iran closing hormuz is really really against china's interest

it's for the option to close the strait without nuclear retaliation. being able to close the strait at will is a strategic imperative for the usa. the only reason we would do that ever is a war with china. if you don't know how dangerous or imminent something like that is, you're not paying attention.
>>
>>61967835
Look at it this way. If Iran goes full retard, they have now pissed off not just the US but also China and they've already pissed off Russia even if they're cutting them some slack for helping with Ukraine previously. At that point you might as well just start raizing everything to the ground yourself. As it stands they're doing what they can do and making everyone else do what they can do about it in an attempt to turn a crack rock into a mountain.

However, none of this shit matters, because anyone with a brain and even those without one can take one look at bonds and the currency market and realize the situation is already terminal and all of this shit is just a distraction from that no different than a cancer patient in hospice smoking weed in the cafeteria and punching an orderly in the dick just to get one last thrill in before it's over.

stopping their rise, so we remain on top. that's kind of the point. If we destroy their economy, or even go further and cause massive damage on a basic survival level, then they can't usurp us.

the point is that if we destroy global free trade, then everyone loses, but we lose less
