It all comes down to if it is left to trump. Every single military man knows this is a high loss, full commitment, long term endeavour at least.
There's no guarantee they can win.
The consequences globally will be extreme.
I'm surprised trump hasn't been taken care of yet tbdesu.

Perhaps the only time something might actually happen is the time when my aforementioned retarded clown world scenario of a miracle turnaround is just not happening for once whilst everyone has been betting and banking on it to occur.

And let's be honest here. I assume the percentage of entities betting on my exact retardo scenario this time is already close to 100%.

Had a look. I'm fine with it desu. It's humane. Maybe it could be better improved but the fact people are talking about it in the RSPCA means it will.
I was killing chickens when I was 10. They suffered massively in comparison.
At the end of the day we do our best to keep animals at a high standards but we grow them to eat.
I'd rather they lived wild and frolicked in open country but that isn't possible with humans around.
Such is life.

And to make it even worse, when CO2 dissolves in the water in their lungs and eyes it creates acid. I've seriously considered going vegetarian since learning about it. I watched videos of electrical stunning and just plain shooting them and I was fine with that but the CO2 chamber video was horrible. Unfortunately 90% of animals are killed this way here.

Once I told my boomer friend that I was struggling to afford meat and he said "meat is a luxury". I got pretty pissed off at him but he was right. We don't need to eat so much meat. They put millions of animals in cages and kill them with gas because it's the most cost-effective way to provide meat on an industrial scale. In the old days you'd keep a few pigs in a pen and shoot one every so often. Most days you'd just eat vegetables.
>>
>>62038089
If everyone became vegetarian a lot of humans would have to die. We just can't produce nutrients to the scale we need without meat.

Apologies. I am a bit drunk and have a cold. I've just realised it's co2.
Not what I was thinking. Co.
Why are they using co2?
Mammals breathing is regulated by co2. Too much of it causes distress for a reason.
To make you find an oxygen source.
It's a nasty way to go.
Why don't they use nitrogen or argon?
That way the co2 concentration stays the same and death is caused from lack of oxygen without triggering the co2 concentration response.
Fuck.
Ok. You're right. It's inhumane. Excuse my retardation.

completely ridiculous. food prices would be lower across the board and we would need significantly less of it. it takes 10 pounds of feed to produce 1 pound of beef, not to mention the water and land wasted and befouled by it. the fact that you can raise and sell flesh for profit is one of the biggest tragedies and if everyone stopped eating meat the world would be a lot better overnight.

Yes lad. I had a wife, a teenager, a toddler and a baby to think about then.
I lived in Ireland and it genuinely looked like the cash machines would run out of money within 48hrs.
Everyone I knew lost their job in a single week. House prices fell 50%.
I stacked a fuck load of rice, beans, pasta and other essentials in the loft and started fitting extra security to my house to prepare for the riots. .
The imf finally stepped in at zero hour.

I'm just telling you.
If you want to buy and hold long long term you will probably win given the amount of inflation that is going to be required.

As long as this goes on all the "people" (thirdies) that funneled money into treasuries, gold, US stocks are going to have to sell those things to pay for oil.

Oil is very inelastic short term so prices will go incredibly high.

That means a lot of gold and silver dumping, stocks dumping, treasuries dumping by foreigners.

Long term of those three I would say gold is the least risky of the three, but its also the least politically problematic too gigadump. If you dump stocks or bonds you may get a smack. If you dump gold you're probably going to avoid US ire. So it may dump the most.

>completely ridiculous. food prices would be lower across the board and we would need significantly less of it. it takes 10 pounds of feed to produce 1 pound of beef, not to mention the water and land wasted and befouled by it. the fact that you can raise and sell flesh for profit is one of the biggest tragedies and if everyone stopped eating meat the world would be a lot better overnight.
There are different types of agricultural land. For example, most cattle are grazed on grasslands which typically aren't good for crops, or hay which is inedible to humans. So get net more calories out of the total agricultural land if you allocate some of it for pasture. Most of the quoted figures about "water wasted" is simply rainfall falling onto grass.

They are usually given a controlled diet at the end of their life to increase muscle mass and to marble the muscle/meat to the desired consistency.

Its the same for pigs, traditionally pigs would be raised in the backyards of peasants, eat their food waste (human inedible stuff mostly), and mature about a year before being slaughtered. Then they would preserve the meat with salting and smoking to eat over the next few months. Pigs are mostly fed feed now so it's certainly true that they on net destroy calories.

Chickens are similar, they would graze off the land and eat bugs and convert that into eggs and meat. Now they are industrially farmed with feed though, so that is also a case where they on net destroy calories.

But my real point here is that beef unnecessarily gets a bad rap, a lot of their lifetime feed is otherwise indigestible to humans.

pasture raising on land unfit for crops is efficient, but very little of that goes on and if the industry were like that meat would be a luxury item. that would be a significant improvement from where we are today. and even if it's not human-grade feed it uses valuable farmland to grow it, takes other inputs, pollutes water and depletes soil. the bad rap is much deserved.

It's the predominant way to raise livestock in the UK.
Hill farms that can't be ploughed, poor quality moorlands that can't be tamed, poor quality soils that would be too time consuming and expensive to farm are commonly used for grazing livestock.

I think you'll find if you investigate it that farmers use pasture lands and the "free calories" they provide as much as they can, because it lowers the farmers input costs. Pasture raised cows are usually grazed and then sold off to farms that finish them prior to slaughter by giving them a controlled diet of feed or it could be a vertically integrated farm, and they do that themselves.

The demand for beef is partially as a luxury food commodity, so there's additional demand that exists beyond the naked calories and macronutrition. The rest of the calories to raise additional cows have to come from alternate sources, so if all the pasture land is used, you would expect more factory farming methods employed over time, and we do see that.

But in principle, a cow has the ability to be of net calorie benefit to humans. Grass raised & grass finished beef would be this kind of cow, which is a small minority of the beef sold. But most beef sold is also grazed on grass and hay at some point in their life, because its cheaper to do that.

Cows give back to the soil too. They are rotated to fertilize using their manure.
A field that has been nutrient depleted through intensive farming can be recovered through grazing.
Sadly, this is not how America do things. They rape the soil then use chemical fertilisers while keeping nature's saviour the cow in barns and feeding them on the fertilised corn they grow in the dead field.
They call it progress but really it's just plutocracy as the corporations dictate costs.

I agree we should but I'm old enough to know we won't.
It's a race to the bottom. We barely have family farms anymore as corporate but then up and install managers. Cutting costs at every turn and decimating land.
The sad part of it is that they legislate through lobbying the small man out of business.
It's rampant in every sector. Someone does well, starts buying the less well off, makes enough they are successful, then starts lobbying government to create expensive problems for the small man.
He can't compete, they buy him out.
Then they run it into the ground for profit until it all goes wrong or people rebel.
It's a tale as old as time.
We are at the rebellion stage.

Trump needs to do a press conference tomorrow to get oil down.

He can talk about how we've already won and he should mostly sideline the issue of the strait, since we don't need it anyway, and plus talking about it is bad for oil. They need to focus on all the stuff going on in northern Iran around Tehran, and ignore down their by Hormuz.

It's all about framing. It's simple. We already won. What's the big deal? The press just wants to keep this alive as a story. It's nothing.

>>
>>62038369
Well you just have to critically evaluate these narrative sometimes. Logically speaking, if the most efficient way to utilize the land's resources to generate calories and nutrition is always achieved with a vegetarian diet, then why did settled agricultural humans start pastoral activity? The answer is they did it because those animals could be raised on "foods" humans could not eat, and then themselves used as an edible food resource once reaching maturity.

I mean, if you look at the modern animal supply chain, that's not really analogous to what I wrote above, but it's in principle why raising livestock is still done.

It comes with restrictions, fertilisers, pesticides and rules.
All of it is cost. You make margin.
That's why futures are so well controlled.
Buy heritage seeds, the weather might fuck you occasionally but you won't be tied to a life of minimum margin bullshit.
Monsanto looks great on paper but it's a corporate leash.

I think gold has gone up a lot, so it's likely to crash. but it already has come down some, so maybe that balances it out with the point you made. but good point. gets the noggin joggin

genius, get a few marines on each trapped vessel and if they blow one up they get a power plant knocked out kinda like a trip wire

The Democrats typically sideline the progressives and play pretend on red meat issues like the Republicans do to the far-right.

Is it a tail risk? Sure. I still think halting all construction is unlikely to pass, at most they will ask them to provide their own power, or more than their own power.

much like the bull market is born from the conditions of the bear market that precedes it. almost as if the fed is "feeding" the bull market so it can grow
all this talk of beef and feeding bulls is bullish

Arbuscular mycorrhizzal fungi eating rocks for phosphorus and producing the regolith and glomalin that would later form the substrate for terrestrial plants is another interesting one. The surface being barren and inert while aquatic life was so abundant is wild.

What if America starts selling us treasuries? The ones they started buying in 2008?
Half the issues we have now stem from this.
Kurwa cannibals.

>>62038465
I think more of the "progressive" candidates are going to win their primaries so they will have a greater say in party politics, I also think that it being an issue the broader Democrat base and independents agree with makes it easier for them to convince the neoliberals to get onboard, at the very least they will pass legislation that heavily undermines the AI companies, at the moment the tech companies have been calling all the shots

It's outside my comfort zone. I'm currently learning about it, growing a few bits to try and learn.
I know fungus is a great part of life through breaking down nutrients and returning them but I don't yet understand what they get out of it.

It would crash our shitty economy, it’s been in the brink of a depression since Covid. AI is driving the markets. Imagine all the illegals and out of control welfare spending that would bring in. Fuck.

All political parties are going to have to be reshuffled in the wake of the end of MAGA.

The dems never completed their soul searching in response to it, and now its been interrupted again now that MAGA is dead. they will probably be able to dump the AOCs and other extremists they embraced to fight MAGA.

Republicans will have to start from square uno as well.

>but what about bern-!
he has never been relevant because the foids with his name tattooed on their asscheeks never actually show up to vote. its like think ron paul will win.

2028 will be a new era, a totally wild time, no one even under consideration now will win either parties nom.

you cannot hedge poli risk for 2028, except to know that there are know unknowns and you will see a lot of rebalancing as the parties get workshoped into something totally new.

America is going to have to find some better form of welfare state. You need to get over Kissinger. Sharpish.

I think trump can mange the Iran war in the long term, markets will dip but they can recover, probably just a short recession. It might actually be a good thing for republicans to have a dem get into office, so they can push the economic collapse onto them.

>>
>>62038487
actually i think illegals are not an issue you will see much of a problem with going forward from either party.

democrats and republicans MUST understand that they cannot improve the lives of voters under both AI/robot + illegal pressure.

elites also flipped on the issue.
in the past it was in their interest to import cheap labor.
soon they will become a major net liability.
i don't think you have much to worry about there.

A lot of it is defense spending and being the world police and subsidizing Europe’s defense. It’s all fucked, we need to go back to our basic ass republic and lean government.

It's actually Europe who has been funding your wars but you keep telling yourself we benefitted from your 50% contribution.
The other 50% we paid? You spent on war after war after war. .
>>
>>62038509
Illegals are a major issue, besides the welfare fraud, it is putting a strain on taxer services like schools, and fucking up the housing market. I could be a single issue voter on non-European immigration. Let’s not get into IQ and economic output. Assimilation with non-euro immigrants clearly doesn’t work.

42yo are much better at war than 18yo actually. It's been proven in Ukraine.
42yo has something to fight for and better stamina and control.
18yo is just a hormone filled dickhead.

Anon, WW2 was wondering with 16 and 17 yr olds in the ranks.

They will not run out of zooms long before they hit 30. I remember my fucking teacher during 9/11 saying we'd be drafted for shit. Didn't happen and we were there for 20 years.

>>62038498
Marco Rubio or RonDesantis will pick up the reigns no problem I imagine. Trump was kore popular in 2024 than he was in 2016 primarily because the Dems went after him so much. If they want to repeat the cult of personality stuff and put their political opponent on a pedestal it will just leave them in the same position they are now. As for the Socialists, they’ve already taken over the party and I don’t see them losing ground. If they never abandoned the working class and actually provided student loan forgiveness they would have earned some loyalty but ultimately the minority groups they continue to import will simply vote for whoever looks like them and promises them free stuff.
