>>62210499I met a girl from a rural family who looks like a disney princess and she's likely still a virgin at 27 (confirmed by a mutual female friend). Sweet but sheltered though. Looked like she wanted to jump my bones constantly while she worked under me, right before she left and I was about to ask her out she's done a shitty thing to her coworkers and I reprimanded her in front of them which made her mad to an absurd degree (forgot how fragile the female ego is) and acts like she hates my guts but from what I hear she sometime still talks about me. I'll probably swallow my pride and come crawling back.

All I can say that Vanguard's own split in VT is like 60-65% U.S. equity and 35-40% international from when I checked.Whatever the institutional equivalent is for VXUS in your 401(k) is generally a good complement for something that tracks the S&P 500. How do you stop the feeling of regret? For example I put a decent amount into AMD last year, but not my entire portfolio, I kept telling myself to do it but I just didn't. Now I feel like a total CHUD because I could have paid off my mortgage, pay for decent pension, fuck ugly hookers etc
>>62210592>I feel bad because I couldnt predict the futureI'm getting tired of seeing this posted on /biz/. If you are so certain you can beat the market, dump everythint split evenly into 5 random stocks and get back to us in a week.
>>62210592you get back up dust yourself off and get back in the arena
>>62210592Remember this feeling and take it into account next time you allocate to a position.
>>62210592Think about what you did wrong back then with the information you had at that time. And if you didn't do anything wrong, then dont worry about it. Might as well regret not buying a winning lotto ticket every week
Holy fucking shit look at Friday close GEX. This is like peak 2021 levels, higher than anything in 2024-2025. No way market makers are going to keep this pumping and pay out on all those call options, right?! GEX has gone from a record low end of March to record high early May. The greatest squeeze we’ve ever seen. But now it must end. It just fuckin must. Monday will be redder than the devils dick. Plenty of narratives related to failed Iran deal can be used.
>>62210592go all in on MRVL (semi joking)
>>62210519Why do you want to change anything? Do you think you are underperforming for some reason? 1. Learn as much as you can about your employer 401(k), if you still work there, do they have matching contribtutions? Do they have other plans you can open as well? If yes compare the plans, and determine based on age, contribution limits, and anything else what is the best plan to have. 401Ks have a required minimum age to withdraw penalty free 59-1/2 years. Other plans like a 457(b) have not minimum age to withdraw penalty free but you have to stop employment with that employer. Say later you get a job with a government or non profit and they offer a 457(b), you might roll your 401(k) into that and poof your age limit is gone. Why, you could get laid off, you could get injured or sick and cant work, but if you have enough in your 457b it can be a life line to support you in tough times. Just something to consider. Your FXAIX did +30% last year, +75% last five years. You can keep that as is and invest new contributions into something more aggressive lik vanguard's VGT, not saying you should, but something to consider. As you get promotions or pay raises, keep you expenses low and controlled, lay off the credit cards they are designed to entrap you in eteral debt. I would increase your cash holdings to at least six months of expenses (rent, food, gas, utilities) you never know. You might open a brokerage account - separate from your retirement account because bank savings/checking accounts pay shit interest on your money. Move your cash there and you can buy a money market of US treasuries (bills and notes, currently paying about 3.5%) as 'cash equivelants' that you can sell in a day and if needed transfer the money back to your cheking account, or use a checking account with your broker, whoever has the best service and lowest fees. Slow stead accumulation of some PMs is good, they are volatile but government spending only increasing.
>>62210485isn't that from dark souls?
>>62210592remember that feeling when you lost half of your portfolio by betting on something risky. now do a proper assessment. suicidal feelings vs regret. whats worse?

>>62210671>Will go ahead and update future contributions to thisJust a suggestion, review the ETFs with the lowest fees, and compare returns to risk, decide which best suits your needs. Another anon commented about diversifying to international markets. I was looking into this some months ago, but the US stated shit with Iran again and the middle east oil producers are blowing up their oil production and inteferring with tanker and shipping traffic in the region. So higher oil prices, higher shipping cost, interrupted supplies of all kinds, I am not sure how this will affect the international markets so I am holding off for now. Intel is still only 4x book valueyes, the stock recently dd more than 2xThere is a lot more room to go upAlso, NVDA and AVGO are behind the memory super cycle and are cheap relative. I would not buy memory right now, because memory is a commodity, and will remain a commodity probably.ASML and TSM are also lagging behind, not as much as NVDA and AVGO. These are good buys as wellIf I were to make a semi only portfolio, it would beNVDA, INTC, AVGO, ASML, and TSMI bet it would outperform BAKA. The prices are not bad right now at all, and the price to earnings for these companies are at record lows in the past 5 years. Earnings are through the roof, but the fad play right now is memory. These stocks are cheap right now. And now is a great time to buy them. Yes, the stock price for these companies is up a lot since the AI boom. But their price to earnings are LOW AMD is good, but its not cheap right now, and they don't have wafers.

>>62210750>Any thoughts on FBCGX?I am not familiar with it, so no comment.>don't have an option for VGT unless I sell current balances via BrokerageLinkI am not sure what this means. If you are not able to buy Vanguard because you have Fidelity I am not familiar with that either.Something to consider, you will have to followup with someone smarter than me. Your 401k is controlled by your employer, they set the rules for any self directed options. My employer said no options in my 401k. I moved to another employer and rolled my 401k into MY IRA and I set the rules in my IRA and now I can trade options in it if I want. There are other rules from the IRS but they are related to limited partnerships and stuff. But my point is this - you are allowed to contribute a certain amount to retirement. Cotribute as much as needed to get the employer match, but if you have more money left to contribute I I believe you can contribute to both the 401k and IRA at the same time provided you do not over contribute, and you will have more freedom to make investment decision in your IRA when you do your own investment decsions. So maybe you put 90% of your contributions into the 401k, and 10% into your IRA and your IRA has the more aggressive investment approach. Earnsing are tax free, and after your leave your employer you can ROLL your 401k into your IRA. If you work somewhere new just open another 401k and maximize that.

>>62210834is it really a part of the memory industry if it didnt move 15% on friday?
>>62210831Giga shitposting campaign, I'm all for it
>>62210793It's the closest thing I can get on Fidelity. Here's a summary of it. It doesn't perform as well as VGT though>ROLL your 401k into your IRAYeah, I probably should have done that. I rolled the previous employer's rollover IRA to my 401k last year. Looks like I'm preapproved to rollover $48k though if I want, but I think they'd withhold 20% of it for taxes.
>>62210750Since I am giving free worthless adivce, you might also want to consider the following:- If the annual 401k contribution limit is $25,000 you can contribute the whole wad on January 2 if you have the money, you do not need to contribute equal amounts every month. Ask your employer if you still get the 401k match if you do that, or if you hit the limit in 4-6 months, or do they require monthly contributions?- when you started your job you filled out a form where you stated you wanted the employer to withold your taxes for you (probably) and put 1, 2, 3, or whatever. You can change that to 0 to get the full amount and fund your 401k faster, and if you also contribut to a IRA also fund that to. By contibuting to your 401k, and maybe your IRA at the same time you are reducing your taxible income, and YOU figure out how much money you owe the IRS based on that income and if you still owe taxes after that YOU pay the IRS and state directly each month or quarterly. Look at your current pay check and get an idea what the monthly payments are. You pay one way or the other, why maximize the process for you. The IRS does not care how they get your money, they just want the tax money you owe, preferably in even amounts do not wait to pay all at once at the end of the year or you get a penalty. You probably can make estimated quarterly tax payments, you can look up the schedule.-you are a business as you have revenue (salary), expenses, insurance, investments, cash, taxes. Learn to run your business the best you can.Talk to a tax expert and get it figured out.
>>62210834>>62210839They aren't part of memory at all they purely design shit that other companies like TSMC creates for them, they design circuits, switches, cables, etc
>>62210853>but I think they'd withhold 20% of it for taxes.NO, not if you ROLL it. ROLL IT. You never touch the money yourself, one IRA manager sends the money directly to the new IRA manager you do not touch it or its a distribution. I rolled $400,000 from a 401K to MY IRA and did not pay one cent in taxes because it was not a distribution.
>>62210463Will be quantum pump soon?
>>62210708>>62210713I think that going long on oil makes sense right now. The Iran business feels like it might be short-lived but the damage is already done. I think that countries already started eating through their reserves. And look and how much changed in a relatively short time — Spirit couldn't survive the spike in jet fuel prices.I think that it might take some time to undo this damage and who knows, maybe tensions could escalate again. XOM and CVX might not be hot right now but I could see them being green overall at the end of the year.
>>62210884>going long on oil makes sense right nowoil/gas markets are being maniuplated bigly right now. Oil should be $150 at least. Trump and his rich buddies are working hard to keep the public oil price low even as gas prices keep rising. Mid-term elections are coming, people are getting pissed, you are seeing all out price manipulation in the oil markets to keep prices down. How long can this go on? The Fed has an infiinte fiat currency printer. I got oil stocks (CVX and EC) and they are up, but no where near what they should be.

Domestically, the facade can hold up for only so long although I wouldn't call it much of a facade given how much prices have already spiked up.You don't have to invest only in production/exploration. There are other ways to invest in oil to hedge against losses. I just have a very small position right now but if I'm right and if things start to creep up in that sector, I'll allocate more to it. >>62211218>If only they where open about oil prices being manipulated,The price is always manipulated, usually by the big producers to keep is steady where they make good money, but they also make announcements about cutting back and produce more, or produce but cut back, side deals, secret deals, then there is the hedging shorts and longs but Trump is openly posting lies (they all lie but Trump is better at entertaining lies) to push the oil price down. Its working for now. Not long ago Besssent said in an interview the US was allowing Iran to sell its oil and therefore using Iran's oil as a weapon against Iran. Pure retardation, what retarded balls so say something so stupid. They wanted the oil sold to help supply the market. Russia's deals with China bypass the markets and US dollar but it keeps China from buying more on the open market. I dont see the war with Iran ending any time soon, Bibi wants Trump to start it up again to try and finish the job.

Look at the low forward PE and the absurdly low PEG. Look at the EPS forecast. The crazy train has no brakes, and there is still time to get on board. Buy a little. Put a 10%-12% trailing stop loss on it and leave it alone. Wait for it to go up above your stop loss, so that you are assured of making money, come what may. Then buy a little more. If the stop loss executes, have the self-discipline to let the stock recover to the point at which you sold. Then start the whole cautious process all over again.I know you have that AHHH I DON'T WANT TO BUY AT THE TOP feeling. That's okay, anon. Don't get greedy and don't get scared. Just hang on tight and wait for the tsunami of cash to keep pushing them upwards. Oh, and remember -- you cannot baghold semiconductor stocks. Noob here. Can you buy stocks "after hours" like during the weekend or do I have to wait until monday. Im using robinhood
>>62211593Most stocks you can trade in after hours, and the popular ones you can trade overnight. Whether you can trade them at these times depends on your broker, Robinhood can do it anytime but Fidelity only allows pre-market and afterhours. Also, only limit orders are accepted during after hours so if you want to market buy/sell just use the current ask/bid price.Overnight starts at 8pm on Sundays so you should be able order then.
>>62211367Should I buy 3k mu and 2k DRAM? Isn't the stock market super overvalued right now.... Also the schizo in me is worried the elites will try to rug the world soon to do their great reset 2030 plans with ww3, financial collapse and fake aliens..
>>62211608Thank you, and at open they usually pump or dump a lot? Whats the commonly held better strategy, to buy before open or wait and buy after opening? Or is it pretty much the same, just gambling on the price
