Elon losing his lawsuit is great news.
It means investors can freely buy into OpenAI and its dependencies without fear of their investments being dismantled.
It also means OpenAI will now have renewed enthusiasm and try to dethrone Anthropic. The competition’s back on.

Yes and no if you're paying attention to the Samsung strike.
The institutional money has voted and their vote is that skhynix doesn't benefit or get hurt by Samsung's court ruling, while they've all decided MU is a speculative vehicle to benefit from supply disruption or not. Since the supply disruption was seemingly off the table as of today in Korea MU once again eats shit.
>samsung +3.88%
>skhynix +1.15%
>micron -8%

Again the news about the strike broke when kospi was open this morning. So you're seeing institutions making a call.

Something interesting to note. Gold and silver didn’t dump with the market for the first time in a long time (miners did a bit).

It’s not surprising. Open interest is at long time lows. Hecla and some others look juicy as gold resumes its climb eventually.

I’m split bets on a couple oversold gold and silver and these oil/gas/helium plays. I’m not expecting any deal over Hormuz. They have very asymmetrical upside (and downside) to the crisis.

Covered call ETFs win only in crab markets. Mathematically, they always lag behind their underlying in a bull market. They are also good when you reach retirement.

Hot tip: You shouldn't trade, and especialy shouldn't trade options when you're on the clock at your job.
t. lost 90% of my port on an options earnings play because it started falling while I was at work, when my phone had no signal and wasn't hooked up to the wireless Internet so I didn't get any alerts until after the market closed.

I'm a bigger fan of the Gambler's Fallacy
Given a random walk (Brownian motion), a P&L will alternatively grow towards negative infinity and positive infinity. The problem is that when it crosses the $0 balance threshold, you can no longer play the game.
Therefore the optimal play is to scale your risk based on your account balance and occasionally take money off the table. If you have any kind of risk management and a 50.1% edge, you will make it long term. Trading is a series of choices over time, not one big play.

I'm out of Korea, was bullish on it, but now 50+% of SK GDP is two companies.

Japan, LatAm in general, and US
I would buy China but not risking that shit as a US citizen when America can sanction China at any moment. Maybe I could set up a brokerage account in another neutral country and buy Chinese stocks that way, but I'm not sure if that would make me safe.

We desperately need a bullish win right now.
In order to prove that america is the most powerful country we need the POTUS man to pick an increasingly weak, starving and vulnerable target that won't bother anyone.
What's the weakest country that american rednecks hate that trump could immediately hit and say he has seized their assets to pump the stocks?
Cuba is pretty weak yes, but I'm trying to think out of the box. What about panama? Greenland is pretty easy to take but europeans might not like it.
The Solomon islands perhaps, or Liberia, trump could easily win those, they'll kneel the moment you show up, they have no money or military.

It's not that I think LatAm is going to be a world leader. I have it as a value play, and think most LatAm countries are undervalued, and have a lot of room for growth.

Between Japan, Taiwan, and LatAm I think I can capture a lot of global ex US economic growth. Without getting drug down by Europe and Africa.

yes, not necessarily bearish by itself but this is EXTREME. never seen this before. every index, every expiry. collectively the market is dumping downside index protection to dealers and buying speculative calls from dealers. crazy fragile - in both directions thoughbeit. but you just know retards are piling into NVDA calls for earnings and vanna will kill them like always.

I couldn't bring myself to buy any of the memory stocks. The only stocks I buy are companies I'd hold for the next 10 years

memory stocks are doing good for right now, and the memory companies are eating good for right now. But, memory is still a commodity and these companies making hand over fist right now will return to the norm once the shortage is alleviated.

as someone in semis, this is my biggest worry as well, that semis become a commodity like memory. Especially all the money being pumped into semis right now will make that definite to happen.
>>
>>62247710

bros is this true
>>
>>62247749
Yes it is a commodity. Customers and computer manufacturers don't give a single fuck about who makes the memory. They only care what is the best bang for buck.

>>62247752
I hope I got so much cash I’m ready for le dips

Blueberry markets is an AUS dealer, they have CFDs on US stuff. Im Canadian. US brokers cant do leveraged metals.

Also AUS does coal exports, lots of asian countries import energy
>>
>>62247744
Semis are in just as much danger and they're as as cyclical. When semis crash for good, I think that it's going to be even longer to recuperate the losses for those who are still invested.

I managed to sell most of my memory positions and buy into companies in which I have faith long-term and I'm still losing money on the small position that I kept in DRAM and my semi positions are bleeding too. I tried to train myself to stop panic selling but I'm close to just exiting my memory and semi positions and losing the very nice gains that I had made over the past two weeks. I can't ignore inflation and the way that the entire world has been fucked just as hard as the Hormussy because of what closing the strait has done to reserves globally.
>>
>>62247752
more or less but check 1982, also a midterm election year, arguably also the last time a major business cycle started in the usa
>>
>>62247754
when does the shortage end?
>>
>>62247758
Semis aren't commoditied. Where the money that matters is, there is just Nvidia and AMD. For consumers there's a bit more players, like Qualcomm and Intel but semis aren't commoditfied for consumers either.

It's very possible that semis will be commodified years from now, but that will take awhile.

Because assets follow a brownian and stochastic process and are not monotonically increasing
>>
>>62247773
That might be a neat idea, rather than looking at 50 or 200d averages, comparing it to the average of the seasonality data
>>
>>62247764
Semiconductors and adjacent tech hardware are literally commodities by definition dipshit. Once major data centers are built out then supply will outstrip demand and cause prices to freefall. Semis are a cyclical commodity and currently theres just huge demand pressure, but that won’t last forever.
