That's not the point
Administrative officials like the Fat Controller/Hatt are necessary to maintain order and make decisions, they (in theory) have better things to do than what is largely micromanagement.
You don't need someone to help you walk at all times, such a person would be largely inefficient
Maybe they're there to keep the engine's fire going but Henry spent a lot of time in that tunnel and his fire didn't go out until they sealed him in, and his driver was in front buggering him

anon

have you ever been on a train, as a passenger, in a place or time where, for example, there were no smartphones to let you buy a ticket to get you through automatic gates at the stations, or for another example, someone on the train was having a medical emergency, or someone on the train was acting in a criminal way towards other passengers or the train itself

what do you think happens on Sodor? do you think if Thomas doesn't like a fare-dodger he expels them from his even equally sapient carriages with a collective bowel-like movement that forces the miscreants out? are you an idiot, this is trains, get serious

>>Its a fantasy world built on a collection of myths.
>like islam

Shhh

Its best to not talk about it. Muslims were raising a stink over Aladdin since day one. Its possible that Antoine Galland just fabricated the whole thing after translating the other stories. It also may have never involved perisa and instead was china and the Chinese.

Then you fast forward to the week of the release of the Disney movie and they are pouting and being sour over the opening song mentioning body mutilation in response to slights. A thing that parts of the middle east were still doing.

Its all pretty stupid considering that disney's Aladdin takes place in a world with several pagan gods, Greece, Rome and prechristian and preislam middle east are all happening at the same time.

I say prechristian and premuslim because despite seeing a handful of God's and pagan wizards, there is no actual mention of the christian or Muslim god. I Think there might be one to three mentions of Allah, but that is just a word for a God. It is not the offical word for the one true God in the Bible or Quran.

All of this is best not talked about. I'm not sure 2026 is the right time to point out that monotheism doesnt exist in the Aladdin / Hercules universe. Nor is their world, our own. Aladdin takes place in a world where Zues doesnt cheat on his wife, and monotheism doesnt take hold of the world. The multi god religions dont disapear.

>was she even real?

She's probably just a generic djinn, based on a few images inside pyramids. The show took more and more from premuslim Egypt, Greek and Roman myths after Muslim parent groups complained about elements of the movie.

There were like 3 cat headed goddesses in Egypt but none of them were evil dicks like Mirage. Also being God's, they could have just wrecked Aladdin and company. Mirage was just an Elemental. Which was just a work around calling her a djinn because by the time of the show, kids thought genies were wish granting spirits that lived in lamps only. They could have had a mess on their hands if they explained that djinns were a diverse demon race with many of lesser power than the lamp genie, and many of them lived freely and were not slaves.

Yeah...the lore of Disney's Hercules / Aladdin is a mess
>>
>>152110187
Obviously in a world where gods actually exist religion wouldn't change willy-nilly. Who would be retarded enough to blaspheme or deny his existence if Zeus could literally zap his ass?
>>
Deep lore

The palace looks like an Indian tomb because of the death of Jasmine's mother.

This is also why the Sulton is over protective of his daughter and why he skirts his ruling duties. He's been passing the work to Jafar since his wife died.

Further head cannon is that Jafar poisoned the late queen during her second pregancy, hoping it would break the king and give him more power.

Do you think the RAM prices going up from AI farms is going to impact these established cgi rendering farms?

It'd be kind of fucked if AI legitimately did kill 3d animation from just fucking up its pipeline rather than because anyone actually wants to see ai slop.
>>
My guess is that if shit gets too expensive to render, then studios will cut back to 2000s rendering numbers or find ways to make shots cheaper

Happy 10th anniversary! It has a rotten tomatoes score of 6% and three sequels!
>>
What do you mean three sequels? People watched these?
>>
>>152110344
>Following the release of the film, three direct-to-video sequels were released. Norm of the North: Keys to the Kingdom had a limited theatrical release on January 11, 2018, with a home release on February 12.[35][36][37] Norm of the North: King Sized Adventure was released for home release and on digital on June 11, 2019, while Norm of the North: Family Vacation was released on February 25, 2020.[38][39][40]

It had money from its theatrical release,

Budget $7-18 million[5]

Box office $30.5 million[6]

Must have made money on home video too.

He doesn't even notice when they develop superpowers of their own. when he announces that he needs a sidekick, his dog, hamster, and chameleon each decide to audition. The problems are always:
>zero build-up
Big bad just shows up one day with some all powerful device or is going to get some all powerful device and then destroy/take over the world/galaxy/universe/multiverse
>No planned integration
>Sudden insane increase of stakes
Your somewhat grounded story about Spider-man fighting bank robbers suddenly jumps to him having to save all life in the cosmos by battling a God, then afterwards awkwardly go back to him struggling to defeat Doc Ock.
>Meaningless mass destruction
>No lasting impact
WW2 and 9/11 get brought up in comics all the time, yet New York getting destroyed by Nazi robots led by Odins evil twin, is never mentioned again after the story is over.
>No real stakes
Any one who dies in it is never truly gone, they're just resurrected or time travel or cloned or it turns out they never died at all!
>Too many tie-ins
Having to look up some insane reading list because the story is split into a hundred parts across so many other comics most people aren't reading, just so you can understand what's going on and what's happening with each character.

Build up is a big part of it. The first Harbinger Wars event from nuValiant was good because it was planned well in advance and so it seemed to develop somewhat naturally from the stories within the different titles that crossed over.
>>
>>152100036
big events don’t really work.
been done so many times that everyone knows things will just reset to the status quo in the end.
>>
>>152109602
Yeah, you figure even smaller scale events like Maximum Carnage should be more impactful to the course of history.

40 is easily old enough to be a grandmother.

I was going to make a thread about forgotten villains but this felt better. Sure there are plenty of villains with hair but there almost no heroes that are bald. Even when they are it's usually women.

Sadly, the Streets of Rage 4 survival mode was so successful that it set up the beat'em up DLC standard. All we will ever get for these games is a roguelite survival mode along with a few playable characters.

TMNT got that, Double Dragon Gaiden got that, and it's guaranteed Marvel Cosmic Invasion will get that as well.
>>

Which is a shame, because I would have loved actual levels taking place in the survival maps.
