This movie itself is boring as fuck. The idea of making food tasting an orgasmic sensation is cringy. The rat is annoying as fuck. The lanky loser is an outright scumbag that goes gaga with the slightest taste of money. The romance between him and the tsundere tomboy is terribly unrealistic. The Jafar midget is just a moustsche twirling baddie with the character depth of a piss stain. The only thing good was the soundtrack, very relaxing although maybe too much stereotipically french.

It got screwed over at a time because Skyler Page had a mental breakdown and touched a nobody storyboard artist who over-exaggerated the incident.Clarence was a great show with a lot of soul to it who just had the misfortune of coming out during an era where people stopped liking episodic slice-of-life shows. It was a great show with fun characters, silly stories, emotional soft spots and - most importantly - a show that truly feels that it's about "children being children".
