Compared to back then Things became too streamlined and optimized that people didnt need to try as hard. Cell animation was laborious and tedious yet had a lot of charm that couldn't be authentically replicated with digital tools.Also money.
Made animation too convenient with the existence of computers.And the execs keeping creatives on too much of a tight leash

The lanky loser is an outright scumbag that goes gaga with the slightest taste of money. The romance between him and the tsundere tomboy is terribly unrealistic. The Jafar midget is just a moustsche twirling baddie with the character depth of a piss stain. The only thing good was the soundtrack, very relaxing although maybe too much stereotipically french.
