Go-Bots doesn't get enough credit for being one of Hanna Barbera's best cartoons of the 80s. Once you get beyond the stigma that it's a "Transformers Ripoff" (which it was never intended to be, both shows were developed independently based on different pre-existing toylines) the animation is fluid, the art direction is fantastic, the writing is entertaining and exciting, and the voicework is superb.
>>152158973Can't help but hear Bernard Erhard's more sinister moments when I read Cy-Kill's lines in this comic. Scioli nailed it.
>>152143635>>152158973Whoa. Now I wish this show was given the chance to get heavy like these comics did for a few episodes at least.
>>152161891NGL, despite liking both GoBots and Transformers, I gotta admit that Rock Lords seem kinda lame compared to how based Transformers '86 ended up being.
>>152161891Rocklords came with the Machine Robo toyline, maybe making a whole movie around them was a bad idea, but they had it to work with. That said, a big part of the appeal to transforming toys was always making mundane, lifesize things be transformable. Watches, radios, lighters, toy cars, eggs, etc. But that was probably better loved in Japan where they have a thing for small modelsTransformers kinda won from Diaclone's failure where Tonka was locked to Bandai's success with Machine robo. Tonka mainly just used what Bandai had with a few original products clearly a step down in quality, where as Hasbro got to work with Takara to make product for the US market. The 86 toys had some wonkiness, but they at least were based on cool designed characters made for the movie done by the animation team that had marketed the toys well already.
>>152162273It's also funny how even Bandai would do that themselves with Machine Robo, when they grabbed up a Galoob toy that didn't even transform and said "you know what, that's a Machine Robo now"

>Marvel is dea-ACK
I liked the first 3 trailers but the fourth is classic late era marvel slop. No one likes Shuri or whatever her name is, not even black people, and a whole like, squadron going to meet the fucking thing in a desert and hes like "heh, hey, im from new york loll"fucking who laughed? who?
>>152162148on what youtube? Because those trailers don't even break into their top 20 on their main channel in terms of views.
>>152162209I liked it. Stop being so fucking cynical.
why the fuck are we measuring interest in views when every website is infested with literal billions of bots?
>>152162148That's a measure of success? How much something that can be seen for free was seen? For some guy making youtube videos and earning advertisement revenue, sure, but an actual massive company like Disney? A trailer doesn't earn any advertisement revenue (at least I hope nobody puts ads in front of trailer, I'm scared of turning off my ad blocker to make sure, it would just be depressing if I was proven wrong) because trailers ARE advertisements themselves.
Whatever happened to Camp Camp?I think the last episode I remember watching was the one about someone peeing in the pool and then the reveal was that it was everyone or something like that.I know rooster teeth... died?Did it die?Something like that?Or they soft rebooted it with like a new season?Did it ever return?I can't find anything.

>>152161812i'm so mad 'cause this series ended in a good note, just to be revived for a pseudo season so bad it ended killing the already dying RT. The voice changes were stupid, they ruined both Nerris' gimmick and Gwen's well deserved conclusion. And worst of all, it was boring, the worst sin any media could commit.
>>152161873They were just kinda mid honestly, felt unnecessary, even more with the voice actor changes and the fact that they didn't get to have a proper resolution to what they were setting up.Also, I wish we could've seen the Flower Scouts one last time, but the episode that took place in their camp had all of them completely gone, probably in part because they'd have to recast Erin.
>>152162212>probably in part because they'd have to recast ErinSomething actually hard to pull considering the main gimmick of the flower scouts. Such retards trying to appeal everyone but their actual audience.
First for Nerris.

>>152136821>>152153872Speaking of retarded communistist political views, if you want something jarring, go from Brave New World to Island. Island was supposed to be the 3rd answer to BNW's ending, but instead it's a series of nonsense rambling about basically communism and a perfect society based on drug use. It's not really a story, but instead just a bunch of diatribes with a minor narrative to string it along. It was Huxley's last book and he was mescaline addict at the time.
I'll just have to say that the Cat was an inspiration to me when i read the book for the first time.>Chill life full of leisure>The farm makes enough that a little leech like him can live in dignity without putting in any work and no one has an issue with it.>Big revolution happens.>Cat manages to keep up the exact same lifestyle while the horse gets glued from overwork.Imho this reminds me of how the soviets had 0% unemployment bc they used to give drunks meaningless jobs so the stats would look better. I'll start off. I actually like Ultimate FF. And I prefer the dynamic to the mainline book. I recognise that the stories themselves aren't better, but I think the core setup of a bunch of young adult supergeniuses with superpowers going on weird science adventures works for me far more than the kitschy sitcom family setup of the mainline F4. Especially with things like Franklin muddying the waters. Ultimate FF made everyone an expert in some field and had this feeling of basically being a modernised Star Trek starring people with superpowers. Again, the stories themselves cannot measure up to the classic main FF runs, but as a basis, the concept itself, I vastly prefer it. There was more excitement. They were younger, hotter, cooler. I could easily buy them as celebs. They were young enough to be unpredictable, but old enough to not be annoying teen geniuses. The book was essentially a cross between Star Trek, X-Files and dunno, something like Stargate. There was a playful element to it that you just can't have when you're dealing with a middle aged family. So yeah. I actually like Ultimate FF and think with some reworking the core concept works better than the mainline version. That's my extremely /co/ntroversial take. And Hell, I like Doom being a descendant of Dracula more than him being some random gyppo. The goat legs and mutation suck, but the backstory was a great update. I don't know, I think generally UltFF had all the right ingredients, but fucked up in the actual execution.
>>152160640Agreed
>>152160640>Ultimate FF made everyone an expert in some field and had this feeling of basically being a modernised Star Trek starring people with superpowers.I kinda dislike this. I feel like Sue being a medic would be better than a biologist.
>>152160654>but this isn't your blog, anon.Nigger, what do you think an imageboard is? I understand that your zoomniggers are used to TiKTok or whatever else, but back in the day of forums people would make threads to talk about things. >What do you want people to say about it?Agree, disagree, call me a fag, talk about UltFF, what they think FF should be, dunno, things related to the OP. Are you dense?>>152160655Thanks.>>152160978Eh, medic falls under supergenius biologist. It's comic books, everyone's an omniscientist to some extent. I get your point though. But I liked the idea of them being a thinktank. I guess Johnny was still a tard and Ben a meathead instead of an astronaut, but you get the point.
>>152160640What were you starting off?
>>152160640I am sad that there are implications of mins control in your image but knowing Doom he would never stoop so low as to do that (he wouldn’t give a fuck about mind controlling Johnny or Ben, but he respects/lusts after Susan too much and wants real emotion from her and he would want to beat Reed fair and square without mind control unless his whole deal is mind control based on intellect which he usually doesn’t do).
This movie is doomed to fail, isn't it?
