Does /co/ wanna sing the digital circus theme like how /a/ did for Watamote
It's a pretty short song desu
>>152119433It would be a good idea for an episode, I feel like some characters have not really interacted that much with each other

Aside from Moebius, which other comic book artists have gotten art gigs in movies?
>>152112418>which other comic book artists have gotten art gigs in movies?Quite a bit. I think one of my favorite cases is Steve Skroce, who was never a superstar but. a solid workman artist in the 90's, who made a connection with the Wachowskis when he drew a shortlived Clive Barker comic they wrote. Evidently they hit it off well enough that they hired him to work on The Matrix and that seems to have done very well for himI just like stories that work out like that.
Bernie Wrightson and Mike Ploog did concept art for Ghostbusters, Wrightson designed the library ghost, but a lot of their art wasn't really used in the final picture.
>>152119517Sugar did work in comics for a bit and I wouldn't be surprised if she was familiar with Hellboy. Pug Davis was reprinted by Dark Horse years later, incidentally, and with an Eric Powell cover in another publisher's earlier edition.
>>152122422/co/ loves to hate on Sugar, but she's an independent comic artist who then lucked out and sold a hit show, not the other way around. What's cool is that fame and success never changed that same desire to just CREATE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yooVkv1RaWo
>>152118278>>152121506This is so cool, how did I never make that connection before?

>"It’s so interesting, because the Marvel machine had so much chatter around it," DaCosta recalled. "But when I look back on it, everyone tried their best. Everyone was trying to make a great film, and I will say I’m really happy to have those relationships.">"I was just visiting the Avengers set last summer, which was really fun, catching up with the producers, seeing the Russos, and some of my friends were in the movie," she continued. "So it was really nice, despite how everything went with the box office and the reviews, knowing that the relationships are so good.">"I look back and everyone tried their best and everyone was trying to do the right thing, and it is what it is," DaCosta concluded.https://deadline.com/2026/01/28-years-later-bone-temple-nia-dacosta-interview-1236681261/

Why did you all hate Brad Neely's sketch comedy series when it was just him going back to his YouTube roots? https://youtu.be/8VBMFXaEW_8 https://youtu.be/Ell2k3_l_WA https://youtu.be/W9-YAgjdkss
>>152117396wasn't shitty enoughI want excellent memorable jokes in a funny voice while given a slideshow of loosely related imagesI don't want mid jokes while real animation happens
>>152121689Its odd to place, odd to reason. The more thats covered up the more excited I get. Like a leotard. Something about the shininess of the fabric when wet, the way its stretched over her tummy, chest, hips, rear. Its like a T-Shirt fused with panties, almost.
>>152122129That's fair.
>>152118792I remember when it came out and people were saying the exact same shit about it then, take off your rose colored glasses I still think a lot of the humor was lost without the stop motion/panels in a row style storytelling it just doesn't flow well as an animated cartoon

can I kick it?
This show was nowhere near as bad as people mads it out to be. I was watching some episodes from the first two seasons and it's not really that bad. It can be quite creative and funny

Anyone else find the single green squeeze toy alien from the first Toy Story to be an interesting character? On top of the fact that it was dark as fuck to see this innocent, naive toy who suffered delusions of grandeur much like Buzz only to have his faith and body destroyed in much more graphic detail than the space ranger did, my theory is that that there is an alternate timeline where he did, in fact, make it out of Sid's house to join Woody and Buzz.>But his role was to be a red shirt to show off how much of a threat Scud was!>But he would have been an awkward third wheel who would have gotten in the way of Woody and Buzz's development. For the first argument, there is no reason he couldn't serve that role while also becoming a main character. Second, he could have easily gone in the opposite direction of Buzz where he doubles down in his belief that "the claw" is punishing or testing him which would have the effect of letting him fulfill the role his three replacements in 2 had (hell, there could have been only two of them instead of three to form the trio) AND it would have made his triumphant moment in 3 all the more powerful.

>>152120142Ironically, half of this is caused by them already having flipped the genders of Stillwell (and the Vought CEO presumably but I honestly don't remember an equivalent in the comics) and Stormfront. Starlight was also an obvious diversity hire, and immediately forced to put out by the team. Had none of those been switched, the set up for a Perfect Blue type spiral for a female Homelander is much more self apparent. The comics only sort of deal with what >>152119678 goes over anyway (it's all very "basically they're treated like eye candy" without much more examination), but it's pretty well done how Stillwell was handled, if perhaps on too meta of a level: he's the ultimate company man, and because he calm and cool and can recognize effort and ambition, you fully buy into his character and his romance with Jessica Bradley, only for the cruel reveal that their entire relationship was just another level of his cold blooded manipulation of things. His only truly human moment is the realization that the Supes are a complete and total dead end. Intrinsically doomed.Aside from that, he's the ultimate avatar of the very masculine ideal of the unflappable, completely competent man. Having this cliche essentially mansplain to FemLander in all of their scenes would be a weird, interesting spin on the dynamic, as would her interactions with more masculine, stereotypical world of the comic Boys.
