I don't consider myself a racist person but the humans in the marvel universe kinda deserve extinction not gonna lie.
>>152100439Comic books have taught me that even innocuous powers are actually secretly broken, it just hasn't been revealed yet. Your minor bioluminescence isn't actually minor bioluminescence, it's photon release created as a byproduct of your body being able to superpositionally quantum-vibrate and when mastered you can phase through and alter the fabric of spacetime.
>>152100681>No flag or group unique iconography outside of Xavier's school>No group inclusive slang or jargon>Barely any support groups>No pro-mutant art or media that one can draw inspiration fromThese would unironically all be resolved by just making a discord. It's no different than any other non-regional/national identity. The reality is that if mutants did exist they'd probably have iconography they rally behind and organized groups and advocacy groups and artists.>No common folk herosAny notable mutant who did something heroic or soapboxed for change would quickly become this.
>>152102055>>BUT WHAT ABOUT THE MUTANTS WHO ARE WALKING NUKES?the problem is the good chance any children' you produce would be a walking nuke, the existence of mutants is too much chaos for civilization's survival there really is no choice but to exterminate them if Earth is to have a future
>>152100354I wouldn't be able to answer that. I would need to have first lived in the marvel universe and had some experience one way or another. I could have just as easily been hired as an avenger and been treated well by captain america and turned out optimistic as i would have been hired by magneto and turned into a terrorist.
I actually have a mutant-sona (or self insert or whatever you wanna call it) and part of her story is that she's strongly opposed to the movement that considers mutants a separate species from humanity, which is getting to be pretty popular with her peers

It's honestly kinda baffling how people view this as a high water mark of excellence, when in reality it's extremely stereotypically 80's.>not a single good face or drawing>conforms to janky on-model nonsense that's loved by executives>the average episode plot: saturday morning drivel. because, surprise surprise, it's a "writer driven" show>but wait, it does have good animation... for 2-3 minutes of the whole show in 1 or 2 episodes (huge 80s-ism)>it wasn't created to sell toys though!!!!!!!

The pulp/Golden Age aesthetic of costumes is cool.Anyone else prefer suits over spandex?
>>152096117I kind of feel like a dressed suit and tie would be more of a problem for a guy that gets into fights and brawls a lot. A tie is just a problem, having a silk thing wrapped around a neck that can be easily grabbed by some thug mid-fight. Sport jackets also really hinder movement and make things like jumping around in alleys and rooftops a problem. Also wool suits rip really easily. Any kind of a brawl will leave the suit ruined. It works for a lot of Pulp heroes who are actually detectives working their day job. Or some scientist on an adventure that happens to run across cultists. It makes little sense for a superhero to have a full suit and tie.
>>152102085I'm sure there's some nerd out there who's studied the history of superhero outfits that is able to explain why they transitioned to spandex with lots of patterns and stuff. Please tell us. Was Superman the origin of it all?
>>152099336Sandy gets redeemed by the badass macabre-when-it-was-risky sand-monster retcon. He's cool.

Who was the worse person?
>>152102604Urethra. Also if Peggy wanted more kids she should have gotten into sounding (it's a sex thing)
>>152102604>Hank physically can't have more kids because his dick is too small. No, just his dick hole is too small
>>152102644you'd think that would be a hindrance but not entirely a dealbreaker. I mean sperm.. finds a way. he had Bobby after all.when they talked about 'resuming trying for another kid' it seemed like peggy's been on birth control, otherwise it wouldn't be a decision they'd make, it'd be a 'let's just see if we're blessed again'
>>152101813If you think about it Nancy wanted an actual relationship with Redcorn. Redcorn was in it for the sex. For example, that one episode where that random girl was apparently John redcorn’s child and Nancy STILL got pissed despite her cheating with Dale. I think they’re both bad but Redcorn is just a player.
>>152101813>john>ends up sad and alone, knowing his son will never think of him as his father>nancy>gets away with everything and enjoys her married life again with her husband and son
How do we feel about Bruce's new pawg gf?
Cat thieves are overrated anyway.

>>152101032However, it is written by Matt Fraction. The art of the sexy doctor has been the only part I have enjoyed of the run so far.
>>152093618>that scene where Bruce starts eating her ass for 10 panelswas this really necessary?
>>152093638I think the Arkham games adapted it best, on the outside he’s like “billionaire is so last year Vicki” with a shit eating grin talking about how he’ll improve Gotham, and then 10 seconds later he gets jumped and his smile disappears and he starts cracking skulls. But this version of Bruce was younger and only learned how to lighten up near the end of the movie so I get the vision
Is it possible to make a non-terrible event comic?
>>152100036It depends>what do you want out of an event comic>what is it you currently don't like with event comics>what is an event you do like, and what was it that made it great (in your opinion)etc.
I suppose. They require a bit more planning and thought though. Usually the problem is that some editor or big shot drops an idea on everyone's laps that they now have to drop what they're doing and dance around. Blackest Night was a big climax to what Johns was doing on GL. It also helps if your event doesn't really get in the way of someone else's stuff. >>152100075Annihilation was off it's own sector of space so it could focus and was cool. But yeah, the problem with events was always just how in the way they got really.
>>152100036define event comic
>>152102267Big loud story that involved multiple crossover titles and tie in books.
>>152100036An event comic should be the end of an entire shared universe. It should be the biggest and best comic in that shared universe. That's not gonna happen.

Whatever happened to Adam Warlock?
>>152099899Uhhhh he did something in Infinity Countdown...I think after that he got trapped in another universe uhhhh
>>152099899He was lame in GotG vol3, so even Marvel didn't care to bring him back for synergy.
>>152099899turns out only Starlin ever really gave a shit about the character. No one else really wants to use him or knows what the fuck to do with him. It's kind of a problem when he is vague and mysterious for a few decades. No writer can figure out what he is about, even after reading a few hundred comics with him in it.
>>152101998Functionally he is an artificially made, lab grown Eternal. Who has had about a dozen power changes in the past because writers already had a lot of trouble grasping what a standard Eternal's powers were. When he has the Soul Gem, he gets odd hard to explain spiritual powers. But the resurrecting thing stuck around, each time he dies he just cocoons and comes back. Sometimes with a different powerset. Then in the 00s he became an actual space wizard since his name being Warlock, they wanted him to have magic. He didn't do much in Guardians of the Galaxy, and it seemed like kind of a step down for him since he usually dealt with top level cosmic entity bullshit along side Quasar and Silver Surfer.
>>152101998Really, any character should only have one writer to them.
