I'd say it would probably be best if they just jumped around instead of trying to keep it all in season one before moving on to season two and so forth because eventually they'll move on (way to fast) and then say they can't go back anymore. There's literally no reason they couldn't there's barely any plot points that would really cause logistical issues.
