But if Adventure Time had stayed the course, it'd have been the perfect candidate. The setting was already basically Forgotten Realms with a concussion, and I clearly remember being excited to find out more about the world and how it came to be.When I heard "Adventure Time is introducing lore," I imagined that meant Finn and Jake would be going on progressively more exciting adventures, facing more and more dangerous monsters, collecting loot, etc. I didn't expect everyone to become a sadsack with daddy issues, for every plot to be resolved in the least exciting way possible, or for the protagonists to be treated like nuisances by writers who just seemed to hate them.
