Who’s a character Marvel desperately wants you to care about but you just can’t seem to get into? Why?>I tried to read her comics and give them a chance since I see her discussed a lot here, but just found them boring and the character herself annoying.
>>152199225Yeah I was wrong on the coomer part, with the ideological point They’re definitely out of touch in a destructive way as it feels like a lot of comics and new characters are now just written to get a headline and sales from fags who don’t buy comics outside of that occasion
>>152193829>Gwen as a number of marvel heroesWhy did they pick Gwen Stacy of all characters for that?
>>152199416Because Gwen as a character was pretty bland and uninteresting but the TASM movies gave her enough characterisation to make her decently popular so they made Spider-Gwen and went from there.
>>152199416The sooner you understand that Marvel Comics is full of people who waifu Gwen Stacy and has been for decades, the sooner a lot of their creative decisions will start to make sense to you.
>>152199450>The sooner you understand that Marvel Comics is full of people who waifu Gwen Stacy and has been for decadesI don't understand this. She was so fucking boring.

McDuffie championed woke politics, but he didn't really have any power or ability to ruin anything.
This series would be perfect if it weren't for all the episodes that didn't feature classic Batman villains
>>152197576UNLESS it's about Roxy Rocket
>>152197420Shit dude that's a hot take.
>>152198632The underdwellers episode being bad is a take that's older than most anons at this point and carried as sacred word you can't go against. If you just watch it now without any preconceived ideas, it's a fine episode, not the greatest maybe, but fine. Old cartoon nerds just always seethed over anything with kids.
Only wanting stories about rogues is an immature preference. Many great Batman stories only feature regular criminals as antagonists.
Just rewatched Season 1 after like 20 years. The animation is a tad less impressive than I remembered with a couple exceptions but overall I really enjoyed the writing and deliberate pacing, this has to be one of the classiest Saturday Morning cartoons. The voice acting and dedicated score are absolutely impeccable too, it's the most impressive thing about the show if you ask me, the audio side of things is just pristine.>>152197420>>152199135I can see why people dislike it so much. It looks pretty good and it's nice to see some funny Alfred antics, but the writing is very one-dimensional, it's like an episode of Captain Planet or the Smurfs or something. Stands out in a bad way.
>yeah but seriously....>how did you do the snake thing?

>>152199291 The official Christian and Jewish interpretation until recently was they used black magic. The Christian version has it he satan helping them while the Jewish has them using stolen divine names to control demons and spirits. I think the muslim interpretation is closer to the Jewish.

>>152199236>Are we witnessing the beginning of the end of SpongeBob?God i hope so
>>152199236>Are we witnessing the beginning of the end of SpongeBob?Maybe? With TV dying off kids aren't forced to watch endless reruns and grow an unnatural attachment, and they have a wider variety of content online. It just makes sense they'd get tired.
>>152199323Two things wrong with what ya said.1. TV isn't dying, it's still around.2. Even if it did that wouldn't mean the death of SpongeBob as the franchise can exist elsewhere.

>>152195598I'd like to see Chizu not be in the yakuza, but rather in the National Police Agency. She's an inspector in the Organized Crime department, dedicated to ending the stranglehold the yakuza has in both business and government. However, due to spending most of her school years in America (Dirty Harry inspired her to be a police inspector), her methods can be unorthodox and legally questionable. She's not afraid to rush head first into a firefight, or using blackmail/coercion to have gangs do work the police can't be seen doing. But she still has a soft side, too.

pitch your idea for a oneshot comic about the mandarin
>>152196627More of a mini than a oneshot, but:Mandarin returns from the dead somehow to find his ten rings are all in the hands of ten different Marvel characters, he has to defeat them all in turn to get his rings back and restore his full power.Along the way we try to clean up Mandarin history and continuity, reconcile his various deaths, returns and changing motivations into a coherent narrative, and throw out Fraction's retcons to his origin and renaming of the rings. End with him built back up as a serious threat and ready to fight Iron Man.
