I don't know how in the world I gave it a try, probably because after it there were shows I actually wanted to see. The point is personality and witty writing go a long way. I even ended up liking the character design.

Saw the movie earlier. I liked it, the stuff with Nick and Judy was really sweet and heartfelt, although the plot felt a bit rushed at times. I feel like Zootopia 1 had a bit more time to breathe, whereas with this, it felt like 20 minutes or so were cut out to get the movie under the 2 hour mark. I feel like Gary and Pawbert were barely even factors for the plot until the climax, and then Gary says that him and Judy are best friends, which made me go "What? You've just met each other". The scene where Nick and Judy reunite made me tear up, although I tried to hold it in because my dad was sitting right next to me. It's insanely obvious that they want Nick and Judy to be a couple, but maybe it was held back to more or less gauge the audiences reaction, but even my dad though that they were gonna kiss at the end there. Unfortunately I already knew about the main twist/betrayal more or less because people on the internet really can't shut the fuck up about anything. The plot felt a little generic, about how the sweet old lady got taken advantage of and how it was all her idea, but I guess it could have been worse. I don't know if this movie really needed to exist, but I guess Disney needed a solid victory for once after eating so many L's.Also I liked Judy and Gazelle's fat asses. Plus Nick seeing himself in the tux was really special, and I think they could have focused a bit more on it, maybe even have him reminisce a little. Nick's father was meant to be a tailor in the original script, so maybe just have him comment about his own past. Honestly we didn't really get any new groundbreaking developments for their pasts, which bothered me a little, I guess. Maybe 3 will be more centered around Nick, as Judy basically drove the entire plot and Nick was just along for the ride.
