I thought early Steven Universe was incredible. These bite-sized episodes were packed with plot and character development, no filler. I loved the focus on the Crystal Gems and I had a crush on Pearl. It's sad how they faded into being background characters and how everything about the series just went to shit. Rebecca Sugar really dropped the ball and I hate it when I get invested in a show because the beginning was good and I'm obligated to see it through to the end. Same thing happened with MLP FIM, honestly.
