I keep forgetting Bone was released issue by issue. I first read it in the big one volume edition so I just read it as chapters in a book rather than waiting a month between releases.

Loads of stuff has been interesting. None of it I bought.
It's been nice to see some stuff in physical that I've only seen pirate rips, and much of that has been 'interesting' like colors, or physical sizes (Wednesday Comics in person was hella fun).

You need better questions, OP.
Prized is easy. Interesting is too amorphous.

I found it in a comic book store but it's not a comic book: a printing of the first copy of Harper's Bazaar after they switched to Hearst Publishing in 1913. It's not in the best condition (wrinkled, lightly stained) but it's worth about $250 last I looked into it.

It was so funny seeing him bitch about Incredibles 2 being labeled a 'kids' movie,' the same film where half its marketing hinged on whatever silly mishaps Baby Jack-Jack was getting up to.

Today will cover 2009.

Last time, changes came for the residents of Westview. Due to the early stages of hearing loss, Dinkle was forced to step down as band director taking the newly created position of music supervisor and passing the band director position to Becky. The Komix Korner was flooded due to a leak in Montoni's basement but the insurance money meant that he was able to purchase a collection of complete and pristine Timely Comics that Crankshaft character Lilian McKenzie had in her attic setting him up for life. As well, Darin and Pete and Chien and the other high schoolers finally graduated. Bull and Linda also adopted a girl who they named Jinx due to the problems they faced in adopting her.

But the biggest change of all was Lisa who, initially told her cancer was in remission, was told that the doctors had mixed up her files and in fact her cancer was terminal. She took the last few months of her life to record videos for Les and Summer as well as unsealing her adoption records which allowed both her and Darin to finally learn that she was his mother. Then she died and time jumped ahead ten years as Les relayed the story of the immediate aftermath of her death which involved getting pickpocketed and stranded in NYC.

Summer was now a high school freshman and star basketball player and led the JV basketball team to a state championship. Pete, now a writer at Marvel and then DC Comics, moved back to Westview taking the apartment above Montoni's which was now a franchise. Funky's running of the business meant neglecting his home life which had caused his step-son Cory to turn into a troublemaker. And at Summer's prodding, Les decided to get started on a new book called Lisa's Story.

It would definitely be a fish out of water for the both of them. Though it would be harder for Johnny to deal with than Jack by a country mile. I think they would work well as a duo.
>>
Johnny's vacuous stupidity would be so unstoppable that he would end up destroying Aku on accident.

Jack would just spend a normal day going to work at the karate studio, gardening, and meditating.

It all started when they met each other at the Laundromat and had a bet on whose life was harder.

Just got back from the theater to see David with my family. Real talk it was a good movie. I’d give it a solid 7.5 out of 10, better than any animated Disney film I’ve seen since Encanto. It’s less Jewish or Christian propaganda and more just the story of David as a boy up until becoming king with an emphasis on how David trusts in God. It had funny parts that made people in the theater laugh and it had parts with a sense of danger. It was much better than I thought it was going to be.

Because your brain is melted by generic copy-pasted tranime slop. 80s/90s American cartoons have the most solid character designs in all animation.

Deeply wrong. Every Sailor Moon episode had a ton of great drawings and expressions. It has a highly interesting and deep visual language. If you think a bunch of Filmation/HB style talking heads with no personality is better, there's something profoundly wrong with you. This is brilliant. It's created by someone that wants to express something. The OP image is not. It's the worst kind of superficial non-creativity.

They went cheaper with this pilot than they did with Guardians of the Cosmos to probably save dough. There are signs of scenes that were animated or filmed but ultimately cut too, likely for budget, but nobody's been able to dig up the full live action script parts.
Frank Ward thought Toei would seriously approve of this, when they figured it'd be cheaper and more profitable to just dub the damn thing.
>>
>>151823508
they only cared about keeping the license so they rushed everything and hired a shitty ass studios, same can be said for all the toy based cartoons from the 80's and early 90's

>>
>>151796966
The problem with Bane is that he was originally designed to parallel the Doc Savage facet of Batman (Bane's original name was Doc Toxic), namely the "superman" who is as equally strong as he is bright. You can't turn Bane into a villain you can pull out of the drawer every other month because his character was designed with a specific story arc in mind. Using Bane means using him sparingly but also with intent.

Bane's first appearance had him use his wits and intellect to break Batman (releasing criminals from Arkham to overwhelm him, then cripple a weakened Batman). If you're going to use Bane, he needs to actually develop as a supervillain and also be a source of conflict that builds on "breaking the Bat". If Bane broke Batman physically, there's no reason he can't try to break his mind, his connections with others, his reputation, or his mission to fight crime. Bane should work his way up Maslow's hierarchy of Needs in parallel to him shattering Batman's hierarchy of needs.

Azzarello's writting career is interesting in that the guy has never written anything good yet he's somehow regarded as one of the greats, still gets gigs and probably still sells, genuinely how does he do it? Same thing with Jason Aaron. Or post 90s' Waid, or Rosenberg, Lobdell (okay, the first ten issues of rebirth RHATO were really good) or synder

How come most cheesecake focused comics are lead by a female characters?
It's pretty rare to find one where the focus is a man getting into sexy situations with girls.
What caused this?

I wonder if the demand for it simply sublimated to heroine peril fanservice and other horny staples in capeshit/mainstream pulp serials, so few go out of their way to make a dedicated strip. Like a fanservice oneshot with a random male lead is harder to sell than a cheesecake book about cute girls, unlike manga where both are common, but issues of Batman that are 30% Catwoman bondage is traditionally most comic artists stable employment.

One of the factors may be that traditional masculinity is surpressed or at least frowned on so the idea of a succesful playboy man going on sex adventures is the kind of archetype of a guy that is discouraged in popular media. Meanwhile they champion adorkable nerds or guys like Huey in the Boys who are thin and not very masculine, not the kind to pursue women or live a life of sexual adventure. I think its a good idea but I feel like this is why you dont see it, most artists would be considered brave for pursuing this. In anime you do have this sometimes but again its like a nerd and the joke is that he lands in these situations not a suave cool guy getting into them on purpose.
Its funny the closest I can even think is maybe early James Bond but with the action skipped over and just focusing on dangerous and erotic relationships with women. There are some visual novels with this concept though, in fact romcom visual novels might be the only genre where I see this play out. As in the protagonist is a guy and he just gets into sexual mishaps everywhere he turns but more often then not these devolve into porn not cheesecake.
>>
>>151810866
>why are they lead by female characters
i don't know OP, why are strip clubs full of strippers?

>rare for the focus is man getting in to sexy situations with girls
because the most realistic way to do that is for the main character to just pay prostitutes every comic issue.

>>151814693
one reason women get horny differently is that they refuse to fuck men as often as they could. many of them are taught that men are bad, demonic creatures and testosterone can only be toxic. so they read rape fantasies and romantasy with minotaur dudes
