Anne and Sasha may have been at each other’s throats at one point, but despite that they’re at least on a similar level of maturity and have the same hobbies. Marcy, by comparison, is way more immature than both of them and can’t really connect with either. In the timeskip, her friends appeared to be well put-together adults while Marcy is still the same womanchild that she was when she was 13.
