Basically, they did these April Fools and released the proof of concept trailer entirely to see how much hype there was. Beyond that though? Imagine if the Looney Tunes guys, the Hanna-Barbara guys, or any of these other teams just gave permission for that trailer while still having reservations on the final product? Hanna-Barbara especially seem to want to move past the edgy adult swim parody years. Because of this, there was a long line of things that had to happen for this thing to get made as well as a significant risk. Everyone wants to say "we were so close" but the trailer and April Fools jokes just created false hope in something that could be toppled like a house of cards to begin with.

I ask for your help in searching for my lost comic/graphic novel.Here's what I know: the book is about a asian girl with the last name chang, it's a cutesy story about her going to college, dating a douche musical snob boyfriend, and having overbearing asian parents. It reeks of Scott Pilgrim, I believe it even has some characters as animals or something. It was featured in a book festival, book event, or book sale, something like that.
