This scene made me understand that Smiling Friends had the potential to be like Gumball but decided to settle by imitating Family Guy
>>151739550None of that are good options, and you know it
>>151739550Take your SSRIs and go back to /mlp/ faggot.
Gumball fucking sucks
>>151739587Nah
>Jon, can you make me another Lasagna ? and while you're at it , change my litterbox. I just took a dump.
No.
>Garfield and Heathcliff are the same cat.>Now, in the very first Garfield strip Garfield's owner Jon is established as being a cartoonist. This is still technically the case, it's just never brought up in favour of focusing on Jon's life as the most pathetic man in the universe.>Now Jon must obviously be getting regular work as a cartoonist: How else is he able to care for his pets and pay the mortgage on that bland house in the suburbs he lives in? Yet we're never actually shown any of Jon's cartoons.>The one defining trait of Jon Arbuckle is just how sad and boring a man he is. This is a guy with no social life outside of talking to his cat (A cat who, canonically, doesn't talk back to him) so any cartoons he produces are obviously going to be incredibly dull and unfunny. Jon has also been driven completely insane due to years of social isolation (A fact that becomes apparent if you ever read any of those "Garfield Minus Garfield" strips or really just remove Garfield's thought bubbles from the cartoons) so any cartoon is not only going to be completely unfunny but also totally fucking insane.>Finally, Jon is also a completely and totally uncreative individual (Which sort of goes along with being incredibly boring) so he's not going to be making cartoons about anything that he's not encountering in his day to day life.>Do you see where I'm going with this?>Heathcliff is the comic strip that Jon Arbuckle writes and draws. Heathcliff is Jon's day job. It is Garfield's antics filtered through the boring, batshit crazy filter that is Jon Arbuckle.>Jon sees his cat eating Lasagna and killing spiders and hating Mondays and it gets filtered through his boring, diseased brain in "He is Bad News" and "Cat Eat Fish". Then he churns out a week's worth of these boring, one panel comic strips and gets to eat for another night.
Who was the better ABEL?
>>151736872When I heard that Abel was going to be a major character for season 2, this is what I imagined his character to be.>both an ally and enemy to the Hazbin Hotel>he wants to be believe that sinners can be redeemed but he doesn't>both helps out the hotel and force them to confront extreme challenges>has an extremely love and hate relationship toward his brother wants to see him redeemed despite not wanting to see him
>>151739616Ha. Real Abel wants to kill them all. And only Lute is speaking his mind the entire season.
>>151736872Hazbin wins by default by not being a shitty bait and switch.Damn it, I'm still mad.
>>151739652You seriously thought there was just another human the whole time who nobody noticed?
>>151739679

>>151738306Cool
Who has a bigger persecution complex? The X-Men or their fanbase?
>>151734873Storm exists
>>151737956I know IvX showed he had memories of Xorn’s actions, but doesn’t the dialogue here say the opposite? Xorn did it without Magneto, using his name and face?
>>151738467Notice how he says “We” , plural , not singular , and what is the meaning of we? Either “I and they” or “You and me” , and in this context , when it’s just literally the two of them conceding , it’s the latter , not the former. Remember , Magneto was depowered in Grant Morrisson’s first storyline because he was eviscerated by Wolverine in Scott Lobdell’s last storyline (and GM later revealed he apparently burned himself out putting all the EM spirits of the Genoshan Massacre victims in a Shura super-science blackbox) so he needed a new energy source , and he’s already been tricked by so-called followers before (Fabian Cortez’s OG Acolytes in Chris Claremont’s last storyline with Jim Lee) , so Xorn’s followers obviously pretended to be Magneto’s followers to trick him into becoming Xorn’s host body
>>151738577I meant “Shiar” super-science black box (or maybe Forge built it when he worked for Exodus in Uncanny XMen Annual 1999)
>>151710895(You)
>Oldest cartoon that still holds up is barely 30 years oldGrim
Imagine not liking Rocky and Bullwinkle or Looney Tunes or the old Superman cartoon or Betty Boop. It's hard. Now imagine OP isn't a faggot. Impossible.
>>151737884Oldest cartoon that still holds up is Gertie the Dinosaur, you fucking pleb.
>>151738124>34 is average age of 4chins posternot the average /co/ poster, though.
>>151737884This boy can't be serious
>>151737944Damn
That's a horrible name for this team, any way you slice it and doesn't align with the naming convention of other DC teams. How would you rename them? I'm leaning on Shadow Court or something to that effect. What say you?
>>151734942Janin’s “art” makes anything he touches unreadable
Magical League of Just Conjurors
Justice League of Dark
>>151734942The name is moronic, no denying, but what made the biggest impression to me was just how awful this series was. From every metric it was completely unreadable. Non-Characters, plots that were empty and went nowhere, uninspired art, tons upon tons of tie-ins and crossovers. You had writers like Milligan, JMS and Lemire working on it, and yet I cannot remember even a single “good” arc. I don’t know what it was about that book, but it was as if everyone brought their worst game to it. I know the book existed firmly as an excuse to have an IP so that Del Toro could “base” his movie on, but you’d think they’d try to make the actual comic at least mediocre. Please tell me I’m not the only one who found it dreadful. I like the Rebirth run a whole lot, and even own the Omni, but this was trash with not a single redeeming quality.

Does /co/ know about Mother Russia's answer to Marvel/DC? It's created by some rich nepo fag Russian and has nu-Marvel art but isn't pozzed (as far as I know, haven't read them all).
>>151735797never heard of it, any good? English translations?
All I know about Bubble Comics is that a bunch of Russians on filled out a lot of the series' info on LOCG from characters to eventsLynx looks cute though
>>151735797>Russia's answer to Marvel/DCYeah, it looks just like the generic slop they put out these days.
>>151736538This.

>Yellowjacket>Wearing redNo wonder this comic is so hated
Dolly deserves better.
>>151734683Dolly is mad that everyone is ignoring her, but the truth is that she's the only one that's free. Her co-workers are locked in the narrative, unable to even imagine altering it, but Dolly's actions are her own.Who's really helpless? It's still Dolly.
what a sexy black bitch with a fat ass and fat tits
>>151736062Comedy often relies on making fun of someone or something, specially on more adult-oriented cartoons.
>>151734683GOD I WISH THAT WAS ME!!
>>151739493But then you'd get mad at the ones who don't need the simps either.
Was Hawkgirl really second most famous DC heroine back in 2001?
>>151739200Jess has been used quite a few times in the animated stuff. But I do think Black Canary is iconic enough to stand the test of time. She's been in multiple animated and live action properties.
>>151739247I wonder if you could run every episode through an AI and do this with every female
>>151739018Zatannah would have been the next best choice for a classic member.
>>151737664She was the mist well like heroine from the dcu universe.Which is why they got rid of her and we her...well everything
>>151738914She was a jack of all trades character>She's not as strong as Superman or Wonder Woman, but she's still pretty damn strong>She can fly just like most of the team, but slower which means she can help with search and rescue while the others are busy>Her mace was essentially unbreakable, which means it can be used in situations where a Green Lantern construct won't cut it >She's an expert on alien cultures in a way that Green Lantern isn't because he's a space cop>She's a warrior but not as good as WW>She's a detective/spy but not as good as BatsShe isn't as good as anyone else at any of this stuff, but she's still pretty good at a little bit of everything Which makes her excellent back up on a team. You always need redundancies

>>151728005No you don't
>>151736825I never liked this one that much. Steve Trevor is such an ass that you wonder what Diana sees in him, and Diana's initial dislike of men seems imposed on her rather than arising naturally.
