He tried to ride the wave as long as he could, but finally ended up retiring. Dude is well into his 80s, so it was probably a good idea. It just sucks because he was a lifelong "creators first" advocate (something that started with his work in jazz record production and followed him into TV). Fred was a good one and it sucks that his career was riddled with so many misfortunes. He could have been this generation's Vanessa Coffey, but he got fucked by corpos (both network TV and Youtube) chasing the dream of infinite growth.

They're fully gay as soon as that change happens. If there were nuance or doubt to a character that realized they were bi, or a decent story told around it, I'd maybe be more open to it. Instead, everyone dances and celebrates the instant a character is bi, acts like it's nothing new, and they pretend it was always the status quo.
