But that is all we have. I really can't name any romance-centric work that I like because they're so incredibly shallow. There really isn't a product out there that actually portrays a long-term stable romance between characters. Maybe the Isekais do but the characters are protag-sexual and shit just doesn't make any sense to begin with nor is there ever some kind of challenge to the relationship beyond the harem fighting over who gets the dick.There are so many good parent-child and friend-friend love stories but no actual romance ones and it's just kinda baffling.

Like, before One More Day, I would have said that MAYBE Peter Parker and Mary Jane were comparable to Clark Kent and Lois in how shockingly stable they were despite the usual superhero drama, but One More Day basically nuked that, so such as it is.
